Level IV--when do decisions come out?

I hope by letter they mean email.

The central committee has our kids files and is busy making decisions. If they deliver on the published timeline, we will know the results by March 28-29.

When did individual schools submit the application packets to the central committee? Can we now ask a copy of the packet? Anyone here asked already and received a copy?

Yes. My AART came through!

When did your AART provide this? Recently?

What does the packet tell you? Just the GBRS?

Yes, within the last week.

It shows the school work samples and the cover page which has your child’s test scores, DRA level, and whether they have strength in LA and math. I also saw the GBRS.

Are you happy and agree to the GBRS? Are school work samples the best of your child’s work? Did you already know the DRA? My DC’s teacher never told me the DRA and I always wonder.

Anyone else text the application file? I didn’t ask for it as so don’t want to have stress before the decision is out. I rather wait 2 weeks for the decision and be optimistic about it.

We also decided not to ask for the app file. I agree it can cause panic and stress. I am hoping for the best and that my child will be selected. End of March we will know.

I am somewhat happy. I thought school work samples were pretty good. I think DRA was lower than it should be. And some comments weren’t as strong as they could be. But overall pleased.

I’m not asking. Hopefully we will get results before break.

I’ll ask for the file after the results. If he gets in, no need to know, but if he doesn’t, I’ll need it to appeal. He’s got a strong Cogat score, so I hope it’s enough.

Ask for the file. There was a huge mistake in ours (another kids name).
