| I don’t understand how the ridiculously shady pharma deal hasn’t surfaced as part of the cooperate-with-the-US-government process. Isn’t the government taking over Marty’s role with the cartel? If so, how do they not know about this? Or are they letting a major pharma company (already on everyone’s $hit list) manufacture prescription drugs made with heroin from Darlene’s farm? Am I missing something? |
| I had been avoiding this thread so I didn't see spoilers but just finished episode 7 and realized the rest of the season doesn't come out until later in the spring?? Missed that! The way they've been picking characters off left and right I thought we were almost to the end. But now there's several episodes to go and I wonder who will be left too. I agree that Ruth better be the last one standing!! |
| Oh, and I felt like there was foreshadowing that Wyatt wasn't going to make it out but thought it would be Darlene herself who killed him or the KC mob. |
|
This show has really jumped the shark. The plots are becoming ever-more unbelievable, and too many themes are just being repeated - "Oh no, the cartel is going to kill us unless we do this really difficult thing" - family members getting annoyed with Wendy...
They should impose a 3 season max. |
| Just finished watching and am completely lost. So what happened to Omar? Is he screwed since the FBI now has an arrangement with Javi? Or is it Javi that is screwed? |
+1 |
| I’m confused: did they ever explain the car crash in the episode 1 opener? Or is that a preview as to how the series going to end (the family is in a roll-over accident and we don’t know if they survive or not)? |

Just saw the release date for the second half of the fourth and final season:
“ Netflix on Wednesday announced that the second part of Ozark‘s seven-episode fourth and final season will be released on April 29, roughly three months after Part 1 dropped on the streamer.” |
I just finished the last episode and I'm confused as well. Is Javi just going to be okay that Omar was the mole? Is it going to be an Omar vs Javi power struggle during the later episodes? Will Javi off his uncle now that he knows he'll have immunity? I don't get the FBI deal at all. Does it mean that the Byrde's have to keep washing the money for 10 more years? |
|
Final episodes came out today!
Dropped at 4/29/22; 3am EST. |
| Some people were apparently up all night watching it because I woke up, scrolled a bit on my phone for a few minutes and was accidentally spoiled. I'm so pissed about what happens that I don't even want to watch now. |

Looking back at the thread, so many questions were answered. Is Ben dead, do they survive the car accident, etc.
I liked it, but the ending was depressing. |
| People watch tv to escape real life. In real life bad people win too often and that is why real life is so depressing. Ozark just wanted to drive that home that bad people win on tv too. Hated the ending. The few characters you were rooting for- just can’t believe it. If TV just reminds us bad prevails over good then what is the point. Just depressing. The writing of the show had been good and I don’t believe the character arc of one of the characters. |
| Just a bad ending. Depressing- the bad guys win. |
| Loved it! Great ending. |
