It’s been in Georgetown since 1799. Where do you live? Silver Spring? |
Actually, it’s very relevant to the topic at hand. Only DCUM bubble dwellers are shocked that students, from any school, are happy to attend the #30 ranked public college in the country. Back to your bubble. |
Right next to Georgetown Prep, right? |
|
Georgetown Prep is in Rockville. |
and Georgetown Day School ... also not in Georgetown; rather, Tenleytown. |
Who doesn't call it Visi? |
| Wait this school has zero to do with Georgetown University, having "Georgetown" in its name is only in reference to the location in DC? |
Personally, I am not shocked. I think there is a relatively small number of people in the bubble of which you speak. Considering the vast number of schools, T30, T50 or even T100 is great. And would you take the nasty tone out of your posts? There’s no reason for it. |
In this area, yeah. But I know a lot of attractive young rich gen z/gen aa Indian girls in the tristate area that attend chill colleges and will do magnificent in life. They are all 5’7 minimum in height, always in designer, look like south Bombay scenesters. Parents are usually biz owners (real estate) or in finance. |
As long as kids who are self aware of their fortunate situation it is ok. Though Scandinavian levels of taxation cannot come fast enough. In an environment where gini coefficient is much flatter, people are way less up in arms over what is clearly positions of privilege. |
| Bumping this thread as I saw Clemson has it's first ever Rhodes scholar! Female bio chem major. So maybe chill a bit - good student wi thrive anywhere and may have additional options when they are at the top of their class |

With all the classist nastiness on this thread, you get upset at someone calling out the snobs? Sounds like they hit a nerve. |
| It is very christian religious. Whites and Black don't integrate. It is the type school that form social cliques on your "breeding stock". And getting married right out of college. And whether or not you were a debutante. son not surprised that Visi girls would flock here. |
