| I was shocked to see this only because I’ve looked at it for my kid, and it’s very expensive out of state. We will not qualify for financial aid. So they give a lot of merit aid for OOS or are people paying full price? |
| They do give merit. And are they actually going or just admitted. Most seniors are making a final decision right now. |
| They give a lot of merit for honors college I believe |
| Also if they are from DC I believe they qualify for a discount |
| What's "Visi"? |
| I wasn’t aware that students are clamoring to attend Clemson. Is this a new thing? |
DP: Georgetown Visitation Prep School This seems to happen at privates every so--often a group of kids kind of make a new school a 'thing'. |
Why would the cost of Clemson be a concern for families at that Richie rich school? |
|
Bunch of gonzaga boys too. Nothing to see here. Fine school. Higher stats kids have many other options
|
| They do give good merit. My DD got in with 7500 merit last year so that brought it down closer to high 30k/40K. It's entirely scores based and this was the middle level. |
Or maybe these kids got aid. Not everyone has $80k cash per year for school. DCUM tends to forget this. |
I would assume that most people who have enough to send their kids to visi have enough for college, otherwise the could easily put the visi tuition in a 529, send their kid to public, and afford college |
| it is merit money, easy target to go to a fun school with lots of school spirit without the stigma of being at a place like alabama. |
| Does this mean that notifications have been made? Is this rolling? |
Huh? There are many kids who get air at the private schools. they don't have $80k/year for private college. |
