Hmm. We are Arlington Blue 09, and based on last season, I thought we would be in the top division, but I guess not. Oh well. Hopefully it'll be fun for everyone.
Who places teams? Well we were at division three last year and now division one and no way do we belong there! White is going to kick our butts.

We are new to ncsl. Are the divisions listed in order by rank or difficulty on the site?
U9 C, P S (divison 1-3) U10 C, O, X (division 1-3)? |
| Boys 09 division 1 is a weird division. Definitely moved teams down that did well. |
There aren't technically divisions at U9 and 10, but they have a common sense structure. They aren't aren't going to play BSC 1 v. Arlington 4, for example. It looks like they put most big clubs top two teams in C and some smaller clubs top team. Even within that, they will match up 1s v 1s and 2 v 2s for the big clubs. There are no standings or publicly posted scores at these ages. So, I think, roughly speaking, what they are calling C at u9/10 is like a hybrid D1/2. |

Thank you |
| the u9 and u10s are best guess for fall and adjusted a little closer in spring. You have to remember the top u9 teams may be terrible by the time they get to u11 for various reasons. So dont put to much into it. |

Who care like a pp said at u9 and u10 the difference between the top team and 3rd team is only a wide margin in the eyes of the top team parents. |
Ha! That is sweet of you to say, in my perspective as the parent of a child on the 3rd team, but it does seem like many of the kids currently on the top team are considerably better than him. Of course there is still plenty of time for him to improve, and I hope he will! |
Not PP and I agree. Things will change considerably over the years, but it's not even close right now from what I have seen at multiple clubs. At ours it is a very considerable margin and every parent on the 3rd team would admit as much. |
| The teams really move around a lot the first few years. Our best U12 player was on the third team her first year. There are plenty of former fourth or fifth team players currently on the 2nd team, and vice versa. |
| So where are the 2010 and 2011 McLean Green teams playing this year? They left the CCL and were playing up an age group in the NCSL in the spring but don't seem to be listed in any of the NCLS divisions for the fall (just the McLean White teams are). Are they going back to playing in the CCL or also jumping to the ECNL Regional league like Loudoun and Arlington top teams? Or something totally different? |
sterling is ncsl for their lower/younger teams and edp for their higher teams and since they went undefeated in div 1 ncsl they move to edp like their 07 team did a few years ago |
If you are 09G Blue this past year, you are now 09G White as ranking is now ECNL, Red, White, Blue, etc |
