sterling is ncsl for their lower/younger teams and edp for their higher teams and since they went undefeated in div 1 ncsl they move to edp like their 07 team did a few years ago

Sterling U12s are not in EDP.

GFR top team listed in NCSL. They don't play in that league (VPSL-ECNL R). Read between the lines....

What happened to all of the BRYC academy (i.e. not bridge/parent-led) teams in NCSL for the fall? Where are they playing?

I believe NCSL usually relegates two bottom teams to the next lower division and promotes the two top non-D1 teams to the next division up.

Division 1 (Spring 2020: http://elements.demosphere.com/80738/schedules/Spring2021/99931005.html) understandably lost the top McLean 09 and BRYC 09 teams that are off to ECNL for their on-age U13 year. Those two teams were playing up last year. With two teams already gone, perhaps there was no need to relegate any team based on the spring results.

LMVSC Red is also gone, even though there is a "LMVSC Patriots 2008 NCSL" team listed down in D3 for the fall. ARL Blue is gone, but I'll address that in a moment.

The four "new" teams (by name, at least) to the division are Arlington White, Loudoun Black, McLean White, and SYC Blue. Arlington Blue was D1 during the spring, so they were either renamed to White, or they truly got bumped down to D2 (there is an ARL Blue listed there) with White coming over from CCL2. Loudoun Black has come over from CCL2. McLean White got promoted to D1 from D2.

As far as I know, SYC did not field three teams last season. SYC Blue (now Academy?) played in CCL1 and EDP last season. SYC White was due to be promoted from D2 to D1. Anyone know if SYC White was just renamed as SYC Blue (or Orange, for that matter)? SYC Orange is listed in D2 for the fall, with no other SYC teams listed at U14 (or U15, for that matter).

To address the previous reply, there is still a BRYC Elite Academy Black listed in D1 for the fall. I can't think of a reason why this wouldn't be the same team that was there in the spring.

Most if not all of the "Black" and "Silver" teams are BRYC bridge teams. Using U10G as an example for Fall (meaning they were U9G in the Spring, when there were two academy teams and one bridge team), the academy has enough players for the Fall to field 3 academy teams but at the moment in U10G there is only Teal (which is an Academy team) and Black (which is a Bridge team). There are no other teams listed--it's very odd... not even a second academy team. I wonder if it is a signal BRYC is moving into some other leagues and/or if some of those U10G will be forced to play up.

The ARL teams became ECNL, then Red, White, Blue, etc. So the former ARL blue (3rd team) is now ARL white (3rd team).

Arlington White was in CCL-II last year. Arlington removed all of their teams from CCL for this Fall. Their Red teams (U13 up) will play ECNL-R and their White teams (C teams) will be in NCSL.

Arlington white is still Arlington White. Some former blue players moved up to white, not all did. It is not a different level than before, relative to the other teams in the club. The team is just not in CCL any more. That's the only change. Blue wouldn't have gotten relegated based on their performance, since they finished in the middle of D1 last year, so I don't know why they got moved to D2, unless Arlington requested it so that white and blue would not start in the same division.

When does the ncsl schedule usually come out and do games usually start early or late September? For U10.

And who chooses the divisions? The club or league? I thought a couple teams would be placed in the middle division and not bottom.
