I was on the same flight as the actress who plays Claire on Lost (this was probably around Season 2 or so). I didn't sit near her though, as I assume she was in first class and I was clearly not. She's tiny and gorgeous.

I was playing at a card table next to another table with Shannon Doherty in Vegas.

Comic Fred Travalena (http://www.fredtravalena.com/) who's now dead and whom, I'm sure, few of you know, once told me I was beautiful at a National Italian-American Foundation gala. We crossed paths riding an escalator - me heading up to the bathroom to freshen up, Fred heading down.

But I'm sure no one really cares about this one.

I was 26.

Last year on a work trip I was eating dinner alone at a bar. A youngish guy was eating alone at the other end of the bar. I was reading the newspaper so I didn't pay much attention but then he moved down so he was sitting next to me and struck up a conversation. I was pretty curt until I recognized his voice and realized it was Ryan Gosling. We talked for a few hours, got a little drunkish, flirted. He's a good kisser.

Hey, the OP said fact OR fiction.

Hung out with Dave Matthews and the band after a show once. One of my friends caught the eye of one of the band members (don't remember which one), and he invited the three of us back to the trailer. He was a creep-- way too insistent with my friend, and we eventually had to leave because he wasn't taking no for an answer and she was getting freaked out. DM himself was very hospitable, offered drinks all around (we were underage and thought it was awesome, but were too scared to actually accept) and then he went and sat by himself in a corner making notes in a book.

Met Lance Armstrong at the Sports Illustrated party when he was sportsman of the year in 2003. Short and unfriendly.

Met Michael J. Fox at an event in NYC. He and his wife are lovely.

Checked into the Four Seasons in LA right behind Sarah Jessica Parker. I wouldn't have recognized her except for the voice. She had ratty sweats and a do-rag on. Then I noticed the cart full of luggage! Don King was also there at the same time.

My friends and I rode an elevator with Billy Zane (Titanic). I recognized him right away because I was obsessed with all things Titanic when it came out. We were riding up to a restaurant and he was shooting a movie in the building. No one else recognized him, and one of the guys I was with made a comment about it looking like a Die Hard set and wondered if we'd see Bruce Willis, which amused Billy. Once we got off the elevator I told them who he was and we had a good laugh.

Sat behind Stedman Graham (Oprah's SO) on a flight from LGA to ORD. Huge hands on that guy!

Met George Clooney and Anthony Edwards in 1996 when I lived in Chicago and they were filming an outside scene for E.R. right across from my office building. They were so friendly.

I was volunteering a charity event in L.A. and saw Leonardo DeCaprio hanging out with 4 buddies. This was around the time Romeo and Juliet came out. My friend asked if he would take a picture with me. He was super friendly and put his arm around me in the picture

I was hit on by a celebrity from my home country at Hard Rock Cafe in Time Square. It was so funny because I heard all the comments he made about me to his friends in our native language before approaching me in English. He had no idea we were from the same country. It was so cute! I could not pretend for too long and after flirting for a while I just had to ask for the whole photograph/autograph thing in our language. He was pretty embarassed poor thing. I look pretty younger than I am and had to walk away after learning I was over 13 years older than him... I've passed the 30yo mark and people insist that I'm barelly legal to drink

Eaten at same restaurant as Chris Rock, Woody Allen, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke (when they were still married). Uma is very unattractive in real life; in fact, I thought when I first saw her that she was a transvestite. Ethan Hawke was unkempt.
Saw Gwyneth Paltrow at a bar. She's very pale and plain looking in real life.

Karl Rove was on my recent Southwest flight back from Phoenix. That sort of surprised me.
