I know! I am so angry the pools aren't open either. WTH? I am a taxpayer and I demand to swim in the winter! |
Which is what we’d do here, if we were actually a civilised country, instead of a ridiculous car culture. |
| Bike in the darn street, if it it that important to you. Did you notice that not all residents have cleared their sidewalks? Things don't run perfectly in winter weather - at least we have electricity and water!! |
|
See the responses, OP? People can’t even understand that your rights are being trampled. I’m sure they’re not morons - they just don’t see that all transports should have the same importance. There needs to be serious reframing of the transportation debate in the US. |
There are indoor pools. The city makes it more of a priority for dullards like you to go swimming than it does for cyclists to stay alive. |
|
Then you should be advocating for indoor bikelanes. |
I know. My dogsled team is constantly ignored. |
Thank you for sharing, OP. Please stay safe. Hugs! |
|
Oh man OP is big mad that his upper middle aged self can't get his daily dose of mowing down and nearly side swiping pedestrians today as his therapy.
Lots of other safe, healthy ways to work off your angst dude. |
This. Bike with all the other cyclists who continue to clog roads even when there is a bike lane, nice and dry, right next to them. |
| What about a pandemic did you miss? |
|
I have actually considered driving down Old G with my sled dog and sled! Wondered how legal that is. For this to work I need snow to NOT be cleared, though, so for the purposes of this discussion, we’re on the other side. One day, I’ll try that while it’s still pouring snow and before plows come into action. |

^ did you see the musher and husky team in Central Park a few years ago? So cool.
