Are you really that stupid, or are you intentionally parroting that stupid line? Jefferson is not being "removed from history." Taking down statues honoring Confederate generals is not changing history. Statues are not history. If they were, Germans would not know about Hitler because there aren't any statutes of him up in Germany. We don't have statues of George III or General Burgoyne in the U.S., and yet people still know that the Americans won the Revolutionary War. Re-evaluating Jefferson's reputation because he owned slaves isn't "changing history." It's recognizing that people are complicated and maybe we shouldn't be deifying a guy who raped his wife's half-sister and owned his own children.

So, no, I don't think that people will have a problem with Hamilton, given that one of the major points of Hamilton is that American history belongs to everyone, not just white men.

Why do some of you fee l the need to ostracize and name call the OP? Maybe her OP was poorly worded, who cares? No need to jump down her throat. Not everyone can be 100% educated on every topic and there are no dumb questions. Everyone could have responded in a kinder way. Hamilton isn't just a musical about the founding fathers with colorblind casting, it's a reimagining of the founding myths of the US, and if you'll remember, Jefferson comes off very poorly in the show and is put down for being a slaveowner.

I'll quibble in that Hamilton isn't really an example of colorblind casting. Thomas Kail: “We never imagined casting the show in any other way – never for one second,” he said. “We are very conscious of what we are doing here. This is not colour-blind casting. It felt essential.”
