Wake Forest vs Boston College vs Villanova

The campus is very much a campus life and kids go to parties on campus. If your son wants to live in Boston or thereabouts, it’s a very active alumni network.

BC alum here. Proximity to the city also makes internships easy.

Here's the way to distinguish the three from one another:

Wake Forest: Pleasant setting for preppy types

BC: Decent core curriculum for those willing to work

Villanova: Exists for those that didn't gain admission to ND

Foreigners will recognize the name of the city. Doubtful, however, they'll know the difference between Boston College, Boston University, or Boston Tea Party.

BC is lucky #13, WF is #22.

And Villanova ranks higher than both of them.

Yep! Awesome school spirit and community at Villanova. Also have Greek life, which is the main difference between BC and Villanova (and is smaller). All great choices.....good luck!

Wake’s accounting is stronger. It usually places in top 5 of CPA pass rate, often 100%. But if your kid is career oriented and mature the proximity to Boston and Philly is a big advantage over Wake. Also, Wake’s engineering is weaker but for more liberal arts major they get some spectacular visiting professors. My DS has looked extensively at all three.....Villanova is probably top choice because closer to home and not interested in Greek social life. Who knows, maybe he won’t get in to any. Money not issue.

Who in this area would be envious of someone going to Villanova? The other two are ok-plus.

Sorry, I posted this but just realized that OP never mentioned accounting in particular.

They are all good schools. They are fairly selective ie under 30%. Are they Harvard? No. Visit and you'll figure out which one is best fit.
