BREAKFAST IS DEAD! At least this is what Dr. Oz wants us to think..

Burn more calories than you eat. Eat all your calories in a 1 hour window, or split it up over 24. It doesn't really matter in the long run. Eat mostly quality foods - fruits, vegetables, things from the rainbow and packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals, and water.

Done.

Things from the rainbow? Like Lucky Charms?

Yes, eat Lucky Charms. Are you always this stupid?

Same. I’ve always been healthy and thin. I eat lunch and dinner and rarely, if ever, snack at night.

Take a look in the mirror. Are you really an adult if you can't recognize sarcasm?

I do this. I get nauseated if I eat before 10 am or even 11.

My one kid is like this as well. He drinks a bit of milk, just enough to take a pill he must take and then doesn’t eat until his lunch at 11:35.

Most real doctors do not recommend breakfast either. All quacks?

What good a mound of gluten pancakes or fried eggs or tabs of syrup
or fried potatoes or sausages or bacon can do to your health?
Wonders I guess.

Most people eat like this, most places serve this.. WHAT's healthy about this????

There are people out there who would get a heart attack if they could not eat this
kind of stuff.. So this is heart attack either way. By breakfast or without it.

The eggs are healthy and are a great source of protein. Take out all the other stuff and change the toast to one slice of whole wheat. Leave the butter. OJ ... make it a tiny glass. Or better yet have some orange slices with your eggs and toast.

Certainly there are healthy alternatives out there but that is a narrow margin of people
who have enough money, time and resources to spend time to eat healthy.
Yet the question remines, why stuff yourself first thing in the morning when you did not
wake up your system yet, burn much calories sleeping so no need to replenish,
and why clog the veins first thing in the morning?

He's not wrong. You should eat when you're hungry, and not based on the time of day.

and should be phased out immediately!

He suggested that everyone should be canceling breakfast and brunching instead. The doctor claims that people don’t actually need to eat as soon as they get out of bed. Instead, he suggests everyone waits a few hours until they truly feel hungry before chowing down on their very first meal of the day.

So, let's hear it ..

NP But that is when I am hungry! I stop eating 8pm so I think it is crazy to wait until noon.

Unfortunately our society is not set up that way. Americans at school and work are to eat at prescribed times, and fast. Not a good way to live.

I eat a big breakfast every morning and nothing Dr. Oz says will make me give it up. I wake up HUNGRY and make myself a substantial meal every morning, usually something like scrambled eggs with feta and some veggies, oatmeal, and a piece of fruit. I also eat a substantial lunch and dinner and am 5'4" 110 lbs. I've always had a fairly fast metabolism and feel shaky and get a headache without breakfast.

Sure. I can't eat as soon as I get up. I get up at 5:30-6 with the kids and eat breakfast at work around 9. Works for me.

The kitchen is closed!

Seriously though, waiting until you are hungry leads to overeating. Or so they told me last year.
