How attractive and charming is your husband?

Point being, it's not that easy to cheat. Men try all the time but only the very attractive and successful ones can do it. Even then, cheating is at best, occasionally

Charming, but not someone you would look twice at in America. He was in India at a 5-star hotel. According to him, he was just sitting at the hotel coffee shop during a conference at the hotel when he was propositioned.

It makes the logistics easier for sure -- like a conference where everyone is going to sponsored happy hours in the conference hotel and all staying in the same hotel. But that doesn't mean it will always happen. A lot of men are a lot more conscious about metoo stuff so are less likely to make a first move if it's a business event.

Then for those on business but not conferences.. well you are often working 10+ hours/day and just get exhausted at the end of the day.

I worked for a large, well know consulting company and travelled 80-100% for 10 years. Lots of long hours, lots of drinking after work. There was always 1 maybe 2 married guys on a large project that the younger women whispered about. It’s at open secret who the womanizer, philandering or problem drinkers are.

After spending literally thousands of nights in hotels and hotel bars, most men aren’t cheating. The ones that are, would be doing it at home too.

It may also depend on the industry culture. Cheating happens independent of industry and class. However, I wonder if some “industries” attract people with certain propensities. Having traveled quite a bit, I knew of only a few affairs among my colleagues. Of course, maybe they were really good at keeping things on the down low. However, observations of lawyer conventions (as a vendor), it seemed almost expected that married or otherwise coupled people would hook up. It was like open season. Quite eye opening.

This sounds like prostitution.

+1 in my experience, they hang around the bars and coffee shops in high end hotels in Africa and solicit customers.

Over the 200+ times I have traveled for business, 2x full on cheating, and another couple times something less. Most of the time I am busy with work and or there aren't that many women who are also on business.

It's common but not chronic

That is 1 time to many. Keep your penis in your pants or do the right thing and divorce.

Why is 1 time ok but 2-4 is not?

None is ok. Why take vows if you don't plan to honor them?

You have a problem either with words or numbers. He said he cheated twice; if that's "1 time too many," then once isn't "too many."

Especially if you do a lot of large trade shows in sales, those are open air meat markets

No, five knuckle shuffle before I go out on the town.

It also depends upon your sex life at home. If things are good that makes cheating far less likely. Conversely if the married bedroom is dead that makes cheating fairly certain.

This was in India. Is prostitution widespread there?

Supposedly the woman was attending a conference at the same hotel. He wasn't there for the conference, he was working at his company's office in India.

At my law conventions I would guess at least half have cheated. The number would be close to 100% for men if there were enough willing women
