If Capital thinks that clown Bill Lewis is going to keep them relevant they are sorely mistaken. He's not a great coach, and even a worse administrator. Time will tell, but I think Capital is on a steep downhill ride.
It is clear that the 2021 Blue team has a lot of individual talent (and the recruiting success bears that out) but watching them play this weekend it is also clear that their coach is a moron. |
Why? What happened? |
| Not sure this past weekend is a great judge of things, especially given the temperature and the fact that all the clubs are moving girls who are uncommitted into positions to help better showcase their skills to get them committed. But as much as it pains me, Capital tied for 1st in its division (even though it was just a showcase) with the second highest goal differential (+16). But M&D, Summit and Skywalkers were all definitely sitting some girls to ensure better playing time too for others, and some of their better players weren't even playing now that they are committed. So not sure the Capital coach did anything wrong in their one loss as his team just looked tired and off-balance with girls in different spots on the field. |
| I thought most of the Capital team is committed now. Or is that wwrong? |
It's hard to know. There is nothing (no rosters, no commit lists) up on their website. It does make you wonder ... |
| No respectable club team is going to post commitment lists of kids that are still in HS. The 2019 class list is up—work yourself up over that and stop salivating about girls still in HS. |
Odd post from the mistaken and uninformed. Up until this year Capital indeed did post its rosters and who was committed where, which is why there are questions about this year. |
| My point is about commitment list. Capital has never posted until after the last season for graduating kids. Keep lurking. |

I know you think you are defending the Club but don't lie about something so silly and that is very easily disproved.
The Club routinely posted announcements on the home page of verbal commitments when they occurred and rosters were updated with the school commitment as soon as the verbal was announced. How do I know this for a fact? We included screen captures of both pages when we sent an email announcement of the commitment to our girls' grandparents, aunts and uncles. The rosters are quite obviously not after graduation. If the Club's practice has changed then acknowledge that but don't lie. Your acts reflect on all of us with an affiliation to the Club. You can either bring us all up or bring us all down. Try going up for a change. |
| Are you nuts? I have 2 daughters who played Capital over the last decade and each committed to a top 20 academic with lacrosse team. I write from experience about commitment list. You need to relax and get a life. |
| And if you knew what you were talking about it is way to early to announce commitments until the player has actually been admitted to an Ivy. Countless stories of kids committing but ultimately not being accepted in DMV lax world. |
| So all the Capital girls are going to Ivy League schools? |
Hhhmmm. So there was no announcement on the home page? And there was no school listed on the roster page? Really. And you're the one calling me nuts. Wow, that takes the cake! |
They wish. |
That is often the case for verbals. In non-revenue sports, no guarantee on qualifications. Even in revenue sports sometimes at schools like Stanford, Vandy, Northwestern and the Ivies. |
