Ballot initiatives always get a Yes vote unless there was big press about them. They were so poorly worded that it just confused voters and they just voted yes anyway.

14% lead.

I’d say it’s close to landslide territory for Hogan.

Maryland is literally overflowing with racists. It's just so sad.

I agree. Look at PG County and Baltimore City. Overwhelmingly voting for a terrible candidate because of the color of his skin instead of the far better qualified candidate.

Who did moco vote for? If moco voted for hogan, then the Dems need to determine why. If reliably liberal voters are supporting a republican, that is very telling.

I’m a Democrat and I voted for Hogan because of Ben Jealous’s education plan. We already struggle to have enough money to deal with overcrowded schools and the needs of all our students. We don’t need more of our tax revenue going to subsidize other counties.

I'd say it's people who voted for the best candidate, regardless of race.

Nope. It’s racism.

It was damn close in moco. So speak again why this overwhelmingly democratic county overperformed for hogan??

Hard to say what's going through peoples mind when they vote. Maybe they voted for the best candidate?

Mcps strife with Hogan are a big deal for MoCo voters. But, I am pretty sure MoCo voted for Jealous, so not sure where the racist argument is coming from?!
