NBC called it for Hogan. Can someone explain the graph to me. I’d post it but I don’t know how.
It shows Jealous @50% and 108,xxx and Hogan @ 49% and 105,xxx with 2% of the precincts reporting. How can they call the race already? And if the numbers show Jealous is higher than Hogan, how can they call it for Hogan? https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/elections/results-page/?marquee=yes |
| I have no idea how they could make that call. |
| Because they look at the precincts reporting and can gauge from there. The 2% reporting are most likely very high Democratic precincts where you would expect Jealous to do much better. If he can't carry those then he won't carry the rest. Obviously the numbers will change a lot but not the overall outcome. |
Exit polls, plus Hogan is probably way over performing where he needs to. It'll be a 20%+ landslide. |
| Prince George’s isn’t in. People were still in line past 8pm. |

NBC sucks and as we know they are not trust worthy. Use Politico it’s much more comprehensive and valid.

| NYT, MSNBC, WaPo all call it for Hogan. |
They have called it for Hogan too. |
| Why would you ever think Jealous could beat Hogan |
|
CNN reporting with 99% in and it’s 56.5% Hogan to 42.5% Jealous.
14% lead. I’d say it’s close to landslide territory for Hogan. |
| What happened with the constitutional amendments and county charter? |
| I think both statewide amendments got 70+%. No idea which county you mean but you can check the board of elections website |
Moco My god, people voted for a county spoils system. Unbelievable. All the ballet initiatives passed. https://results.elections.maryland.gov/elections/2018/results/general/gen_qresults_2018_2_16_1.html |
Maryland is literally overflowing with racists. It's just so sad. |
I'd say it's people who voted for the best candidate, regardless of race. |
