He’s not 35; he was born in 1963.

Ahh! 35-year career. That makes more sense. He is almost a decade older than me.

Not dumb. Mentally ill.

With it enough to live in a mansion, hire a private chef and other household staff, sane enough to travel the world and spend nights in only the best, most luxurious hotels but not sane enough to realize that he also has to pay for such a lavish lifestyle. Eh, if he has to cook his own meals and stay in 3 star hotels the rest of us, he'll live. So will his kids.

Those things don’t require sanity. Really need to educate yourself before playing armchair psychiatrist.

He's fried his brain with decades of drinking and drug use.

He's upset that he's frittered his fortune away. He is sane enough to know that he's frittered his fortune away. And he is mentally sound enough to try to blame anyone and everyone else for being so badly in debt.

I actually feel way more sorry for his household staff than I do for him. Is his personal chef finding out in Rolling Stone Mag that his employer really can't afford him? Can you imagine?

Although very talented, he grew up with little stability and has been living his life as if there were no tomorrow. Now at 55, he's reaping what he's sown. May sound dramatic, but it's the truth. He needs to turn his life around and get stable people as mentors and advisers.

He needs to grow the eff up.

+1 PP here. You said it more succinctly!

He’s not mentally unfit. He has a monumental ego and thinks a lot of himself. But he knows what he’s doing. He’s definitely drug-addled.

I bet he'd be less crazy if he sobered up. His kids are 16 and 19. I'm sure it would be nice for the kids if he were sober. He's bragging about spending more than $30,000 a month on alcohol. I can't imagine how a kid might feel to know their parent is drinking away their college education.

Clearly you have never worked for someone bipolar. It doesn’t take long to figure out that things could fall apart tomorrow or even in the next five minutes. My DD worked for someone who would decide she (DD) deserved a huge raise for discovering a new smoothie shop and the next day fire her for allegedly shrinking all of her pants.

The girl’s a high fashion model. He’s not the reason she won’t get a degree.
