Realistically, which cross-admit battles does UChicago actually win?

Those who declined chicago may not come to this thread. They don't care for UChicago. Probably mostly the unemployed UChicago alums who have free time would be here trying to salvage self esteem.

PP here who chose Georgetown SFS over UChicago. I still love UChicago, even though I declined it. I ended up going there for grad school.

Choosing Georgetown was a practical decision that has played out. I am gainfully employed in my dream job (and am off today with a sick kid).

I know, crazy, right?

So this thread isn't applicable to her. Cross-admit means a senior gets into more than one school and has to mull over options.

They do have to mull over options at the early application stage and declare a favorite (that’s the whole point of SCEA). If they frontload that thought process and get their first choice, they’re unlikely to keep applying.

That's what I suspect. But Dartmouth is fun and a Wall Street feeder, so I'm unsure they win that battle.

Because everybody defines fun as you do and everybody wants to work on Wall Street? Honey, you need to get out more.

Seriously. You think spending 4 years in Hanover is fun, when UChicago is a 15 min drive downtown Chicago?

The Art Institute, Bakery & Pastry Division over UChicago. Lighten up and get around more!!! More research and development opportunities at the bakery than at Chicago.

Well. There are some (like you know who), that believe any PR is better than none. The UChicago hater is making an active contribution towards getting the school on DCurbanmom mass radar.

Hahaha. Here we go again. My advice. Stop posting to this thread. Otherwise there will be 42 pages of total nonsense. Don't take the bait. Now I am going to follow my advice and just watch

I think once they launch the business school it'll help. But right now Chicago doesn't have the best well-plowed paths to Wall Street. Lot of the banking offers are Chicago office, which is lower prestige than Ivy, Duke and Stanford kids are after.

Launch the business school? WTF are you talking about? The Booth School of Business has existed since 1898. It's the 2nd oldest business school in the USA. The MBA program is ranked #1 in USNWR, tied with Harvard. The Economist ranked the MBA program as #2 in the world.

Oh and as for Wall Street placements: Business Insider ranked UChicago #2, behind Wharton and well ahead of Harvard (#8).

Dude, just say, "Yeah, Chicago isn't for everyone," and move on knowing you've been obscenely well-educated and had had more career success than most people will ever have.

What objection do you have to me posting facts in the face of lies? PP literally said UChicago doesn't have a business school.
