Maybe I'm an empath? Or maybe I just need a hobby (other than this one)!

Strange you are on this thread then . . . .

Yes. That was my point exactly.
But it keeps popping up to the top of "Recent Topics" so it's beckoning...

What about 1) OP’s son and 2) the DD with an older brother who is like OP’s son???

It may be a blessing in disguise.

Yes (OP), DS was accepted. He doesn’t know yet. Playing baseball . We told him it would be up to him to decide. He is so smart, I wish h3 would go. Did not prep at all and lord knows what he wrote on the SIS.

One in, one WLed. Things are lovely in my house.

Many Carson kids in - changing test probably did not make much difference. Kids who wanted to prep just needed to do ACT reading and science and AMC or Mathcounts math to practice. It will probably be the usual - a few surprises on both ends... They need to add interviews if they really want to find out who is truly passionate about STEM.

Congrats. What are the scores like? Wondering if GPA and Recommendations played bigger role in second round.

Ours got in - 99 percentile for all 3 scores - not how much these are weighted but there it is

Also we assume the % scores in their table they show are national normed percentiles not the percentiles for the applicants

ACT is nationally normed, Quant Q is TJ pool.

My DC had 99 on both ACTs, and 83 on the Quant Q
Anonymous
Our son got in. 99 and 100 on the Aspire, but only 57 on the Quant. I think the percentiles are for the TJ applicants only

Ugh. I feel for you.

My child is waitlisted. How do you know, what position on the waitlist? Say 5th vs 50th.
Anonymous
Interesting that math score could be as low at 57-my DC had 57 also on Quant Q but only 94 Science and 81 Reading and was rejected.
