What HBO series should I binge watch - not GOT

People are still talking about that one. You can educate yourself with Sopranos later, by watching them one at a time over a long stretch.

I disagree about the Wire. It might be the best show ever to have been on television. It is riveting and the digital remastering is great.

Big Little Lies. One of HBO’s top awarded shows ever.

There are lots of differences from the book so try not to compare. I enjoyed each, separately. But HBO brought everything to the show. The writing, directing, setting, music, wardrobe, etc are terrific. And all the acting across the board is as good as anything you’ve ever seen on tv. There’s another very long thread about it, but just taking the therapy scenes put the series at outstanding.

An oldie but goodie. Fun to look up how the characters aged since then.

Kind of, but more annoying than anything else. I'm a few years older than DH and the characters remind me of some of his Little Ivy friends who thought Bushwick was their playground circa 2008/2009. If you watch, prepare for some hard eyerolling.

The Wire is one of the best shows ever. Period. I've binged on it twice and would do it again!

I find Veep unwatchable in the current political climate. That might just be me, though.

Yeah, I watched the entire series but it was 75% hatewatching. IMO there was some redemption in the final episode, though.

Yup. The Wire remains one of the best things on television, ever.

Deadwood
The Deuce
