Melania Trump's Official Portrait as First Lady

Gross. There's no way to hide all that plastic surgery. Her face is so out of proportion and stretched looking.

She's in soft focus like Barbara Walters. And that background is not good.

I'm sure she's faced a lot of intense scrutiny and stress, and I can only wish for her peace and happiness.

Why would we pick this apart? She's beautiful.

There's plenty of reason not to like her. Let's start with the birther stuff.

And the fact that they've cut Meals on Wheels and many other programs for the poor, yet she has the insensitivity to wear that massive rock on her finger.

FWIW, the MOW cut was in Trump's preliminary budget. It is no where near being passed by congress so no cuts have been taken place. The current budget is the one implemented by Obama. Also, it's more than a stretch to thing that she had anything at all to do with legislation or government at all.

That picture looks excessively touched up. They could have pulled a picture of her 20 years ago and there would be more crows feet than what you see here.

This photo represents what she believes Donald Trump wants his wife to look like. And the image has a phoniness to it. She doesn't look like a real woman with feelings, lines on her face commensurate with her age, or a thought in her head besides, "look sexy, look sexy, show ring."

I am a bit surprised about the backdrop. Seems like a solid background would be better because the one they used looks cheap and distracting to me. Agree with PPs about the airbrushing. No need to do it in her case, she's obviously a very attractive woman. Her hair and makeup look very nice.

I do NOT like the huge rock on her finger. It does not seem appropriate for this occasion. She has a nice diamond band on her other finger that seems much more appropriate.

She was much prettier with her natural eyes and nose, pre-plastic surgery. Now she just looks like some sort of alien-lion hybrid.

First thing I noticed was that she's wearing all black. Odd choice.

I think her enormous ring is tacky.

I think you are very jealous. It's showing. You can't hide it.

She looks beautiful. I love it!

The first lady is not supposed to eye-fuck the camera in her official portrait. It's so inappropriate.

Oh, and to the people complaining that she is wearing her large ring, that's her ring. She indeed should wear it. No matter what mine looks like, it doesn't come off. It's a symbol to me. If she DIDN'T wear hers, everyone would be gossiping that something is amiss in her marriage. Give me a break!

This picture makes me question whether I'm applying my blush in the wrong place. I usually apply to the apples of my cheeks but hers looks to be on the sides of her face.

Reminds me of a pretty British Airways flight attendant. The photo does not have the FLOTUS aura.

+1 Looks like an empty shell. Nothing remotely modern or compelling about this portrait.

Agreed.

I'm sure she has multiple rings she could've chosen instead of the one she's wearing. No one is suggesting that she forego a ring entirely.
