they have a fairly new baby. I don't care for either of them, really, but it always makes me sad when a couple with small children splits up.

I don't like the Gaines at all. It has nothing to do with their religion. They just bug the shit out of me - I think they are as exciting as watching paint dry.

I feel like these shows run their course in a season. Flip or Flop is the same every time...buy house- should not need a lot; uh oh unexpected expense; redo kitchen, bath and install wood floors

Chip and Joanna are tiresome too. Does not matter what type of house we try to do a country chic design with white washed furniture, a huge gathering table and shiplap on the walls. No dimension

Does anyone else thinks that doing any kind of reality tv show is really bad for the family. It seems that almost everyone who does those types of shows splits up.

The Gaines Family claims to not own a TV, but they believe in plastering themselves all over it to make a buck.

Dammit!!! I had a bet with my daughter that the Gaines would split up before Tarek and Christina. Now I have to take her to that backwards Waco or where ever that irritatiing Chip and Joanna live. I truly cannot stand that Chip and think she stays with him for $$$

Her voice is so annoying. Nasally and whiney.

Apparently, all her designs and her push for high end appliances, tiles, countertops, etc. are scripted because she doesn't have any design or interior decorating background. Maybe that's changed now though.

It's such a dumb show. The camera films 10 seconds of Tarek grouting the shower and acts like he did a lot of work when in reality he did it only for show and the camera and Izzy and his crew doing it all. He always acts surprised to find water damage or wood rot or need new subflooring or new plumbing on foreclosed/abandoned houses. Um, really dude?

I wonder if there was financial problems. The one episode I saw showed them buying a house partnered with an investor. I guess they don't have enough cash or credit to buy and flip themselves? Now they have to split any profits with the investor?

She gets his sense of humor in a way that many people don't and I think she'd have plenty of money without him. People are nuts about them because of her designs/style and not because of his building/contractor skills.

They've always had an investor (s). Not many people have hundreds of thousands of dollars of cash sitting around to buy these houses.

Very sad for the kids. Their baby just turned 1 I think. I guess she'll live off his child support, unless HGTV gives her her own show (!)
