Flip or flop couple Tarek and Christina El Moussa divorce drama

Anyone watch this show? Apparently the altercation happened months ago but this is the first time I heard about it. There was always something off/awkward watching these two. This is especially sad since they worked through his cancer scare and have two small children

I turned on the tv yesterday and commented to DH how weird they are. Then this morning I read this. It's sad for the kids.

I hope she gets to keep all of her stripper shoes in the divorce!

Yikes! I agree that their dynamic was always off. She seems like a Barbie come to life. Their family "chemistry" was always very artificial and fake. They're no Gaines!

He is so intense and I can tell he is battling depression. She seems nice enough but I don't think she can deal with his moods. Too bad for the kids.

They also worked through near bankruptcy, moving in with their parents after the housing collapse in 2008. That would be enough to due most marriages in. Their on air chemistry was lacking, but I figured it was just the scripting of the show that was throwing them off. I wish them well.

They're oddly mismatched. She is strange looking but significantly more attractive than he is. I always felt like he liked her a lot more than she liked him.

I was talking to someone about this too - the show and relationship definitely has a different dynamic than the "family-centric" Gaines' show. However, I also was just told that the evangelical church the Gaines' attends has some anti-LGBTQ views that some (including me) would find objectionable, so that has colored my view a bit on the Gaines.

It's hard to find a church community that expresses all your same views on every topic. For example, I was raised Catholic and i strongly disagree with the church about abortion and the role of women in the church. However, I still go with my family on holidays and special occasions. Life is complicated, don't be so quick to judge.

Oh, you mean a Christian church? Do you distance yourself from all Catholics, and almost all Christians, too, due to the views their pastor or their church?

I think they are pretty near matches on the attractiveness scale. Neither one is super hot, but they are both good looking.

Sad. I actually thought they seemed like a pretty "real" couple (in that they didn't always seem to get along and sometimes didn't seem to particularly like each other).

So I guess you are against any Muslim, Hindu, Catholic and most protestant church members too?

Bibkical marriage and/or marriage between one man and one woman is fairy standard theology across the majority of religions, not just evangelical Christian.

I agree that in terms of looks they both are evenly matched.

I was shocked to hear about their split.

They seemed like the perfect family in my eyes.
They state they will continue their professional relationship.

Does that mean their show will go on??

Maybe this will mean the end of Flip or Flop. I hate their show. I also dont like Property Brothers.
