+1. Not sure if it started in CA, but I was certainly wearing this sort of stuff there in like '07/08. |
so everyone saying 8-10 years.....what was it that happened then that made this blow up? Was it a particular celeb that just lit the fuse on this style? Financial crisis made this the go-to garb? |
Yes, but I'm talking about the meme itself |
| Han Solo outfit? 1977. |
|
+1 And please stop wearing big arse boots when it is greater than 30 degrees. |
+1 LOL. |
GAWD. Just no. Every last woman at Cox's farm looked like a clone. Aviators and all. |
| I think the meme with Hans Solo started around the time the new Star Wars hype was coming out. But the look as been around so long now. |
That's awesome

None of these women are covering their lady bits. See the super long thread in the elementary school aged forum about how *horrible* it is for 6 year olds to do this. |
Flat boots (opposed to boots with heels) and skinny leg jeans, followed by leggings/jeggings, came back into style. I remember thinking flat boots were not as flattering, but so much more practical. Hated skinny jeans until boot cut finally disappeared and I gave up the fight. Hate skinny jeans even more now that I've had kids. |
This. The pictures the first pp posted isn't Hans Solo attire for women. Close. |
Call me a prude but I think these tops should be longer. On adult women there's way too much possibility for camel toe. And I've seen many women walking around in leggings unaware of the camel toe!! As far as six year olds, it doesn't seem like that much of a problem or big deal. |
