It's slightly obscure, yes, but if that's what you want to major in Cornell is THE place to be. Extremely prestigious program.

Good. The thing I like is the university turned it over to the real police and let them handle it. No kangaroo courts run by the university administration for a serious felony like this.

Real police are best equipped to investigate and handle serious felonies. Leave the university police to investigate cases of graffiti and defacing the opposing team's mascot before the big game.

They didn't "turn it over" to the police. Cornell suspended the entire fraternity. This is separate from anything the "real police" have done. In other cases, at other schools, the local police didn't find enough evidence to press charges, but the schools still conducted their own hearings, either way.

At some point, they will probably have a hearing on the accused rapist student's status with the school based on available evidence.

Not PP but I think she was referring to the sexual assault being handled by the real police. Lots of colleges "handle" these things internally using campus police. Obviously the police can't suspend a fraternity and only the university can do that.

You obviously know nothing about Cornell. That's something it's well-known for.

If a student reports the crime to the real police they have to investigate it. The university can shoo the police away.
If the student reports it to campus police then they might not report it to the local police.

Actually, the university recently announced that the School of Hotel Administration will be consolidated with other business-related programs into a single undergraduate and graduate school of management. I'm guessing admissions will become more competitive since the hotel administration program has always been one of several back doors into Cornell.

Many of the current hotelies and hotel school alums have been losing their minds all over social media about the consolidation. The epic whinging (complete with spelling errors and weird conspiracy theories) they've been doing all over social media, including on every post by Cornell about it, makes them look ridiculous. It's starting to reflect poorly on the school itself.

It's not a very well known part of Cornell, but those people are usually very successful in whatever it is that they do. Business / hospitality management or something.
Plus, they were the best looking people on campus.

No. It is a back door into Cornell and has been since the 1950s.

Not true. It attracts a different sort of student than the arts school, but it's still competitive and prestigious for what it is. Ag school, human ecology, etc on the other hand....

Maybe PP is unclear on the definition of 'many'
