Blue Jean.

I was thinking of him the other day when I heard he released his new album. I couldn't believe he was 69. I thought of The Little Drummer Boy song/video he did with Bing Crosby (don't care what the haters say, that is still one of my favorite Christmas songs. And I loved watching that video on MTV as a kid).

At the time, I remember thinking Bing Crosby was so old. To 8 year old me, I guess he was especially with the way he looked so grandfatherly.

David must have been the same age now that Bing was when making that video. But David never seemed old and grandfatherly. I was shocked to hear of his death.

RIP, Ziggy Stardust.

He planned Blackstar and the videos that accompanied it for us all, to say goodbye. What an amazing man.

The Thin White Duke, from Station to Station. Loved him.

Did any of you know he was a fluent German speaker from living in Berlin? He wrote "Heroes" there, and lived in a very (then) working class part of the city. He also made an album for a German movie. Interesting guy in many ways, and so talented.

I wish.

Such an amazing, insightful, creative talent. One of a kind, to say the least. I am glad to have been along for the unique ride, through high school and beyond, that was David Bowie.
