| Wow, lighten up food police. It's probably your kids who are tossing the seaweed and quinoa from their lunch boxes and stealing OP's kid's snacks. |
LOL, no we don't send that with our kids. You have to be a very ignorant to think that the above lunch is acceptable. |
Interesting theory really. OP, I do wonder after reading this thread if the teacher is taking them out. Tell the principal you want a follow up. |
| OP, check out what is allowed for snacks. In my DDs class (which was the same for my boys when they were in ES), they cannot have cookies or fruit snacks for snack. These would typically be sent home, but your child could throw them away. These foods are allowed at lunch though. |
Thanks for the laugh PP. Bon Appetit's suggestions are hysterical! Shrimp rolls! homemade sushi! So easy and fast! How about I make my kid a turkey and cheese sandwich, throw in a pouch of unsweetened apple sauce, a banana and call it a day. Have fun with your prepping your kid's pesto shrimp skewers. Bet those smell great after sitting around in the lunch box for a couple of hours... |
I would be furious over that, especially in a public school. |
You need a GD hobby. |
|
So this turned into crunchy mom vs. regular mom ? You people are horrid !
|
Not really, in then I would rather not have to pay more taxes towards health insurance and premiums to subsidize your family's unhealthy lifestyle. |
Are you dense, the lunch listed above is no where near acceptable to feed a child. I bet the school is confiscating parts of it for that same reason. It doesn't take a genius to make a lunch that has less sugar, hell it could even be ham, cheese sand-which , carrot sticks and a muffin. NOT THAT HARD. |
|
You should email the teacher, without jumping to conclusions and saying there's a thief. That way the teacher can check when she opens her box whether there are indeed snacks there. |
|
11:07 again. I apologize for my rudeness, but I agree with the other poster that your daughter's lunch is not healthy. |
| Does anyone really send shrimp in a lunchbox? That just seems like it's begging for trouble... |
|
I am starting to think OP is a troll, because if the fake suprise that lunch is missing and knowing the policy of acceptable lunches.
It would've been funnier if OP said, sending my child with hostess pies, Twinkies and mountain dew why is it getting taken? |
Muffins are often less healthy than cookies. |
