I'm a B and seem to attract As by the boatload. Not sure why. I am as upfront as possible and try to be self deprecating, but I make it clear they really should have no expectations of me as a friend. I show up when you need me - I'm good at that, but I suck at birthdays. Being on time. Keeping my BBQ plans. All that stuff is out the door. So unjust lay it out- and if the harm around they deal.

* so I just lay it out and if they hang around. They deal with my quirks.

This may all be true of you, but this isn't what a Type B person is. In other words, type B isn't the same thing as "a self-involved flake"

Spoken like a true type A.

I'm a classic type B introvert. My BF is a type A who thinks she's an introvert but is totally an extrovert.

We make it work.

In fact, most of my friends are As.

I have some type A friends and they are a lot more uptight than I prefer, but I'm sure I drive them crazy in some manner.

I'm a B who can be on time and keep plans. I don't think a Type B means being rude and irresponsible!

I agree. I always thought I was type B because I'm not good at organization and keeping a clean house, but I am always on time and I never flake on parties or forget to respond to invites. I don't know what I am now. I clearly need a solid FB quiz to clear my confusion.

+1

I'm type B for sure - I prefer to be part of a team working toward a goal than the chair of the event, and I'm not a planner socially but give me a task or invite me along and I'm very reliable. I can always be counted on and am a very good, attentive friend.

I do have type A friends and I think they appreciate that I'm mellow and not always striving for something higher - I try to be in the moment and it helps calm down some of my A friends, I think. And they inspire me to up my game.
