Kelly- are you dor? I am. I would be jumping off the walks if I got a number anywhere near yours. I'm on day 2 of injections and this is my 3 IVF also. We aren't doing PGD this cycle. Did you also do ICSI? Cheering you on this process!!! I keep telling myself I'm one step closer one step closer to bringing a baby home. ~Annie |

Sue-
Any update on the embies? Hoping they are growing strong!!! Fingers crossed. ~Annie |
| Kelly -- I'm sorry to hear about the m/c. did you transfer all 4 blasts on your last round? I did Lupron micro flare last round which resulted in only two embies. I'm just starting my next round with patches started yesterday and stimming starting sometime next week. This is round three for me (first two only came up with one egg and two eggs respectively, both BFN). I am 38 with DOR. I was successful with IVF before which resulted in my DD. But that was when I was 36. I'm on the SG shared risk program (with ICSI) but SG warned me that if this cycle is not successful, they might drop me from the program. So there's even more pressure than usual for this time around. Good luck to you (and everyone else here) with your current round! *emma* |
Yes! Thanks for asking, Annie. One latecomer came from the rear and now we have eight! I'm thrilled, because I'm 41 and odds are so slim that any are genetically sound. Just waiting now, and really hoping to have something to freeze this time. I'd like to be able to do some testing on them. I'm not certain my clinic does fresh cycle PGD testing. I haven't asked because...I've never gotten to that point. Last time we transferred the two that made it out of the six that fertilized and got a BFN. Kelly: I'm also sorry about the m/c. Are you banking embryos to do the PGD testing all at once? Good luck everyone. The injections are such a drag, hang in there. --Sue |
| Sue -- that is fantastic news! Keep us posted. Wishing you the best. *emma* |

I'm 39 and not DOR. I transferred two last time and ended up with the m/c. The other two are frozen but I think I have an egg quality issue and wanted to do pgs testing so I'm leaving the frozen ones alone for now. My dr said it's to risky to thaw, biopsy, and refreeze so I'll only use them if this round doesn't produce any normal embryos to work with. I hadn't considered pgs testing until after the second round, wish I could have planned ahead and banked embryos!
Great news Sue! ~Kelly |

Transfer Day! All went well. we transferred three. (Which is a whole separate discussion....)
Just waiting now. I'm super busy with work and other commitments this week so I'm hoping time flies between now and the 19th. We've got three that are still hanging out in the lab; we'll know in the morning whether they look good enough to freeze. How's everyone doing with injections, etc.? --Sue |

Amazing news!! I'm hoping so hard for you.
I'm on day 5 of injections and so far is good. e2 levels were better today than they have ever been so I'm hoping for good news. ~Annie |

Great news, Sue! I hope the 2ww speeds along for you.
Annie, I'm just a few days behind you. Good luck! I go in for my baseline appointment tomorrow and if things look good, I start injections tomorrow. I'm super nervous about this most likely being our last chance. As I'm sure is the case with many of us, I always have a difficult time managing my stress levels dealing with the cycles and the stress of work so I am really going to try to let my work stress go a little bit. I need to make this my absolute number one priority. *emma* |
| I'm a PP from page 1 (17:59 and 21:16). Call me Kat. I started stims last night and my next monitoring appointment is Wednesday. Good Luck to you all! |

Awesome to hear from all of you!
Good luck, and keep in touch. --Sue |

I go for my next monitoring appointment on Thursday. So far injections haven't been that bad. So fingers crossed my follies are growing!
Good luck everyone ~Annie |
| I had my first monitoring today. I'm on day 4 of injections and go back Thursday also. I feel like a human pincushion this time with the new drugs I have 5 injections a day. I hate that pen too, miss my bravelle! Hope to see some results in a few days. Good luck to all! ~Kelly. |
Congrats! Did you hear back about the three you didn't transfer? How did you make the decision about how many to put back? |
Thanks! The three didn't make it overnight, so once again, nothing to freeze. Which is hard to face, because it means a third full cycle if this one doesn't work. Maybe. I'm not sure I have it in me again. I'm 41, so I was going to always transfer two, if I had two to transfer. I was a little worried about transferring three -- even though I think it's very realistic to acknowledge that the odds of ANY of them sticking around are pretty slim at my age. I'm not being negative. I just know the odds pretty well. One of the blastocycts looked really good. Two were funkier, for different reasons. One was weird on the outer cells, and one a little weird on the inner cells. One of the funky ones looked more promising than the other, so it was an obvious choice. As for the third one, as my RE explained it, if it wasn't going to make it in my uterus, it wasn't going to make it another night to freeze, either. He didn't push us one way or another, but it was clear he thought transferring all three was the best course. I'm not afraid of twins. My RE isn't afraid of them for me, either. I'm in great shape and have plenty of energy, I'm tall, and I'm not any more worried about a twin pregnancy than I would be about having one baby. I also have a sibling with twins, so I understand and accept the financial and other consequences of my decision. I would have only transferred 2 if I were five years younger. But we make the decisions we make with the tools and information and intuition we have at the time, and this seemed like the right decision. I was just happy to be in the position to make it, honestly. |
