Isn't it a good thing for the powerful people who have a platform to speak out for the less advantaged?

LOL she is happily married and I doubt it is to "appease men". Most of the men at the Oscars are wearing makeup too, dont you know?
She is wanting to look her best and she looked great.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt had millions at a time when those millions would be billions now. He still spoke up for the 99.99% of Americans who needed help. Did you find that humorous too?

Who cares what a bunch of DCUM posters think? The consensus on Twitter was her speech and look was a knockout.

FDR had “power.” She does not.
Now, let’s see if she actually does something about it other than give a little speech.

Ugh what are you talking about? She does have power... she just won an Oscar, is a public figure. More than a hundred million people heard her speech. I would call that power!

She must have found out how Hollywood calculates profits on a film and doesn't like her split

Or she's fed up, as so many women are. Excited for the wage gap flip to happen!

Oh for Christ's sake you cannot be serious. People wear makeup. To look good. Standard practice on TV and in real life. Welcome to reality.

So which is it? Should she shut up because she makes millions? Or should she shut up because she doesn't really have any power?

Are you under the impression that female actresses are paid equally to their male counterparts?

You might want to go back and look through some of the hacked Sony documents.

Totally agree. If she feels so strongly about it why doesn't she assign herself a wage of $25 an hour, keep track of all hours she worked for rehearsing, filming, promotion of films, and then donate the rest to the blue collar workers.
