Why do St. Pat's people keep saying they are a feeder school to STA and NCS when they are not?

Other private schools around here and east coast boarding schools although this will probably change once they solidify their plans to expand through high school. Wish they stay a nursery to 8th grade school and not setting a definite time table but announcing their intent to expand is just plain irritating.

You and OP (or maybe you are the OP) seem to get irritated very easily. Try more exercise and, if necessary, chocolate.

I find it annoying and I care because it is not true. Just because a few students go to the Cathedral schools from there every year does not mean it is a feeder school. I don't think they should be selling themselves as a feeder school to the Cathedral schools.

Get over it. ISIS is a problem. Some parent allegedly describing St. Patrick's as a "feeder school"? Ummm, no.

Aside from Beauvoir, they probably do send more kids to the Cathedral schools than any other single school does. Which would make them . . . a feeder school. Maybe not as big as Beauvoir, but a feeder nonetheless.

"Feeder" doesn't mean what you think it means

So, St Pat's is a feeder to ISIS? Got it.

Because it is everyone's goal to connect with the glory that is STA/NCS.

Oh please. Several schools send a lot of children to the Cathedral schools and I have never heard them brag about their supposed tight relationship with the school etc...

There are so many wonderful school and students applying and I am sure the STA is taking a good look at all of these schools and students. St. Pat's is a good school but not the only good school.

Actually, St Pats does align very well with STA and its head is a very highly regarded former member of the STA Administration. St Pats will only send up the kids it thinks will do well and I think the Cathedral schools generally honor P.B's recs in that regard. This is handled probably more smoothly than any other entry to STA. Leave it be.
