+1 I use the frozen grapes everytime I crave ice cream and it satisfies me!

Too much sugar

Get sugar free popsicles instead

You're joking, I hope. Surely you don't think a sugar free popsicle is healthier than grapes!

It doesn't take a genius to figure out sugar is a carb and will be stored and you will gain weight. Eating a zero calorie mostly water treat will be much better for losing weight.

Fresh or frozen grapes ARE a low calorie, mostly water treat with some additional fiber and actual nutrients that happens to also be free of the artificial sweeteners in SF Popsicles that have been shown to hinder weight loss. A 60 calorie cup of frozen grapes is much better for you (and your weighty loss efforts!) than 4 oz of frozen chemicals on a stick (which is still gonna cost you 15-25 cals).

And of course this is all assuming that OPs weight troubles can be attributed to a serving of fruit and not whatever comprises the other 97% of her diet.

Yes and chemicals that make you crave more sugar. I don't understand the villification of fruit. Eat fruit.

What is working for me this summer:
No wheat, no grains, no white potato, no corn, small amounts of fruit, full fat everything, no hfcs. And bar method.

2)Have quick ready foods to snack on like cut up watermelon, berries, almonds, hb eggs, etc.
3)Limit your alcohol.
4) Work out.
5) Satisfy cravings with healthier versions.
6) Stay away from fast food, or chose something from the kids menu.
7)Eat as clean as possible.
8) Keep tempting food out of sight (or just don't buy it).
9) Use smaller plates when eating (It will look like you are eating more.)
10) Be mindful when you eat. Try not to eat in front of the television or computer.
11) Stay away from all the samples at Cstco or the grocery store. Those nibbles add up.
12) EAt throughout the day so that you are not starving by the time dinner comes.
13) Eat a little healthy snack before you go out to dinner. If you are not starving, you will probably order and eat less.

Oh, like blueberries? Good advice.

People don't get fat from eating grapes.

I hate being called skinny.
It doesn't sound desirable.

Yes, they actually do. Grapes are full of sugar and are not a healthy substitute but a sugary desert by themselves. Of course no one will get fat by eating desert once in a while but eating deserts every day and not spending the energy they provide will cause you to gain weight. You can eat other frozen fruit as a substitute like berries which are low in carbs, you can even add heavy cream on top for some fat and taste but don't eat sugar if you want to lose weight.

It's an old WW joke.

The people who are fat aren't there because they were addicted to grapes. They're there because they eat sugar and sodium laden processed foods.

I'm laughing at this thread. Obese women who eat far too many grapes.

OP I'm "skinny." I definitely gain weight in the summer over the weekend. I guess because were not as busy as during the week when everyone is on the go. I probably eat more, less disciplined ( eating out for example vs eating at home during the week) and I drink. Alcohol will do it for me. It takes me five days to cleanse my system and get back in my groove and then it all goes to hell on the weekend and so it goes...

Btw eat grapes over Popsicles.

I dis this as well. I also cut out refined sugars and only drink a glass or two of wine a week. When I can I workout twice a day.

Alcohol tends to be my downfall during weekends.

I try to limit it, but since I'm pretty much at my ideal weight, in order to keep myself from gaining, I have focussed more on being REALLY good (eating no carbs) during the week and then not fretting so much on the weekend. I've actually lost some weight doing this as well.

The grape comments are pretty funny. Nobody gets fat from grapes alone, but if you want to cut down your sugar, go no carb and reduce bloat, it may not be the best snack for you.
