Are these cute or butt?

Could work depending on what you wear with them. Maxi dress, yes. Jorts, no.

If you are the same age as my MIL and shop at Coldwater Creek, than yes the shoes are fine. Otherwise, keep looking

...preferably anything without "dr. scholls" in the name.

OP here. Okay, I'm getting mixed reactions. For those who say no, what are you wearing this summer? Show me some sandals you like... and yes, they have to be low heeled and potentially *gasp* comfortable.

TIA very much!!!

What look are you going for? You simply want comfortable shoes? Where are you going? What are you doing? BTW, I am the one that made the rude comment about the perm! I am a firm believer that you cannot give up! Sorry OP, didn't mean to be awful, I am trying to age gracefully myself. Now tell me about these shoes you are looking for and I will go searching!

I am 44. I am a Kindergarten teacher. I am not giving up... and I don't know what you're talking about when you say that. I look much younger than my age (so people say) and I take care of myself. No fanny packs, mom jeans, or perms here. I need comfortable shoes for my non-glamorous life. I walk everywhere. I'm doing camp this summer, but for that, I'm *gasp* wearing Keens, simply to keep my toenails intact among hordes of children. The sandals I'm looking for would be worn mostly with jeans. Strictly casual.

If you are working at a camp than I probably wouldn't wear sandals. Aren't you chasing kids around? And you want to protect your toe nails you said? I'd ho with sneakers.

Okay, look here www.bornshoes.com

There are some pricey shoes and some in the price range of the shoes that you originally posted. But I think these are better. And they are ALL supposed to be comfortable!!! (I am the mean poster BTW and I think I am going to get some of these for myself). Sorry if I offended you. Good night and bless you teaching those kiddos!

OP here. These would not be worn at camp. The sandals would be worn during the rest of my life.

I don't need your blessing, but thank you anyway. I'm familiar with Born and actually have some. They are not much different than the Dr. Scholl's line.

I like these more.
The shoes in your OP look orthopedic. However, since you've seen them IRL and we have not, they might look cute on.

Just trying to point you in the right direction away from your horrible taste in shoes. I actually would never wear Born myself. A little too "country" for my taste. But I think you may actually be giving up if you were seriously considering that horrible pair of shoes you originally posted!

NP. See, IMO, these are "butt" and look dated to me. Plus they're more than twice the price. These have a Melissa Etheridge vibe whereas the others have a cute hipster vibe to me. The sole on the first ones is much better.

Those shoes are completely hideous. Sorry.

Too "country"? Aren't they Scandinavian?
