| As long as it's blow dried or styled....frizzy air dried is a no-no. |
I pull my hair in a French twist when my hair is wet because if it dries like that, it will be less frizzy, more calm, and flatter for the next couple days. |
If you say so. I think it looks like you rolled out of bed and put in the minimal effort. The VP at my old org used to do this....wet hair pulled into a clip, no makeup, sundress and flip flops. I mean, really? That's how I roll on the weekends - not when I want to be taken seriously in the office. |
Do you have thick, curly frizz prone hair? Im guessing your hair is naturally straight |
Who ARE you fuddy duddies anyway? Probably the same women who think makeup and clothes that are fashionable are "unprofessional." |
Well yeah....most people don't have curly hair, so it might have helped had you specified. THAT I get. Insisting that wearing any long hair down is unprofessional is just ignorant. |

In a neat bun/donut
Half up half down Smooth polished ponytail w ends spiral curled French twist |
| To me that donut look is not professional. It makes grown women look like cheerleaders. |
And, yet, somehow she managed to make VP. Imagine that. |
She was a total fraud. |
| As long as you're not fixing it all day. I think it makes a woman look insecure if her hair is falling in her face and she always has to push it out of her eyes. |
I dont think anyone should feel they have to pull their hair back all the time. I was just explaining why some women do the "wet hair in a French twist" thing sometimes. A few hours twice a week it may not look great, but it means my hair looks better once it dries. |
How? You didn't like her, did you? |
NO ONE lliked her. She had exacting standards of those who reported to her but always had an excuse for why her projects were never on time. She was overeducated and had too little practical experience to be in her role. She had direct reports who were more competent than her and she knew it, which is why she played political mind games to try and take down anyone who made her feel threatened. She was basically a good bullshitter who knew how to play the political game. I didn't report to her and had 0 respect for her. The fact that she dressed like a sloppy teenage girl was just the icing on the cake for me. She would have garnered more respect from her staff if she had styled her hair, put some concealer on her eyes and dressed like an adult woman. |
You get a pass. The uptight old ladies need to relax. |
