WEAR THE DOCS! You got this! ![]() |
Wear em. |
This is definitely true. |
I'm 42, dear. The difference is I don't pretend like I'm 22 with the brooding, wear-all black but never any jeans BS. |
Just because you're 42, you don't have to wear saggy beige mom capris and Grandma's orthopedic slip-ons.
I know a lot of people between 40 and 70 who mix up their styles (including Docs if they like them), wear a lot of black, and no one accuses them of trying to act 22. |
I have 4 pairs of Docs and am 42. Was unaware one could be too old. (WTF?!) |
You can buy ones made in England. They have factories in both China and England. You just have to read the stamps on the boots. |
I'm 41 and still have these: http://www.drmartens.com/us/Womens/Womens-Shoes/8065-MARY-JANE/p/12916001
They're almost 20 years old and I wear them with jeans. |
I'm 51, dear, and proudly wear my Doc Martens with my black pants and not-with-jeans. |
If you can still stand to wear shoes that heavy, go for it! |
I'm 44 and would wear them. Who cares. Life is too short.

no prob! i can't really do high Heels anymore though ![]() |
If you've always worn Doc Martens, how is it that you give a fuck what other people think? |
