Personally I do not wear Doc Martens nor have I ever done. But I am a great believer in people wearing what makes them happy, regardless of their age. Wear them! |
Same here I've been wearing Vans & Converse since jr high.. |

Nope, not too old. |
No, no one is too old for Doctor Martins. |
so happy i found this thread....been wanting a pair since forever. now i'm old and can finally afford it and had the same question! |
+1 |
Me too. I bought two new pair this summer. |
No. Wear em! I'm 44 and wish I had my original pair of Docs from the 90's....plan to get a new pair sometime this winter. |
True story: I was walking into the mall last summer, wearing my Doc sandals. I had to walk through a group of teenagers sitting on the sidewalk right outside the door. They were of the more alternative crowd. One looked up at me & in a completely honest tone, said, "cool sandals."
I'm 46. I'll admit, it sort of made my day ![]() |
55 year old granny who continues to wear her Docs, and thru all seasons & occasions! |
I didn't read every comment here but i am 45 yr old man I dress very casual for work i wear my Adidas shell toes everyday. I have a few Pair of Vans and a pair of 3 hole Doc's i can't seem to find. I was thinking of getting a new pair and i had a little doubt about my new purchase.
However upon reading this thread and thinking about it more im going to get them. as long as your not trying to re live your youth and not trying to dress like a teen from back in the day, wear them, own them and be yourself. |
I wear them almost every day and I'm 50. The older I get, the more I realize that I don't want to lie on my death bed regretting that I worried so much about what other people thought that I didn't stay true to myself. I love Docs. They're comfy, fun, and I feel great wearing them. |
U can def wear them |
