I strongly suspect your daughter is right. I'm not there, so I can't tell if your wife is a bitch, you're a drama queen, or whether your version of the story is accurate. Came home the other evening, and there's a bloody paper towel on the kitchen counter. DH bursts into kitchen, clutching hand, screams "I cut myself." Something broke while he was getting it out of the dishwasher. He's got blood on his pants too.

So I did all the compassionate stuff, but it was just - a cut. Nothing serious.

OP I can see how this incident scared you tremendously because you were choking. I think your wife should have been a little more compassionate about the fact that you had a big scare, but I don't think her response was that bad. I mean you possibly could have been eating a little too fast. I think it hurt your feelings because of many other things going on in your marriage.

I think that it's possible that the Op's wife thought that he was over reacting and didn't realize that his air was cut off. If he was talking, making noises, screaming throughout this incident...she may not have realized the extent of the problem.
