"America the Beautiful" a 'Christian anthem'?

I suppose they can claim that America the Beautiful is Christian.

But are they willing to say that people speaking foreign languages are not?

Way to own your racism, wing nuts!

I am not Christian and could care less if it is perceived as a patriotic or religious song. I don't care about the gay couple or a melting pot of nationalities but I was very offended it was sung in multiple languages. This is condoning Spanish and other languages to be just like English. We are are all from other places but have learned English and simulated to the American ways. I don't see anyone respecting America The Beautiful if they come here illegally, if they expect us to learn Spanish to help them, to wave their own countries flags around while asking our government to use our taxes to help them?

If you come here legally, learn the language our constitution was written in and respect our country and flag, then you get our respect.

Hey moron, the constitution does not establish a national language. If we needed one, our Founders would have written it in.

Way to put words in the PP mouth..... This is NOT what was posted.
I agree..... this nation may not have a "national language," but English IS the language of business. Immigrants will not get ahead IN THIS COUNTRY unless they learn English. Their job options will be limited. It would be kind of tough to be something like.... an executive secretary or an attorney .... if you can't speak the dominant language in our country. Same with most other jobs. I think it is great if they remain fluent in their home language, but English is necessary to be successful in the US.

Hypothesis 1: Coke went out and hired a bunch of illegal aliens to spit in our faces.

Hypothesis 2: Coke found a bunch of immigrant Americans to tell their former countrymen what a great country Coke comes from.

You don't seem to have a good grasp of the English language. It is "couldn't care less" and "assimilated." Perhaps you should learn English before you go around criticizing others.

Wow. Seems as if you have some serious issues that need to be addressed. Did you see the commercial?
You do realize that there were several languages spoken, right?
Makes one wonder why you are so sensitive about Spanish.

I suppose it's up to them whether they want to get ahead, and whether English is necessary. Every generation of immigrants has figured it out. This one is no different.

Oh crap please don't get these fools started talking about immigration. 9 outta 10 of these hyper-patriotic idiots think the earth was formed 5,000 years ago and swear only white male property owners with pickup trucks are true patriots.

The difference is that they are talking to the home country on a daily basis instead of making their future here.

Actually, repetitive would be something like.... hmmm.. "If you like your plan, you can keep it. If you like your doctor, you can keep him/her."
