Why do women like older men?

Adding to this: because even those women who used to fall for irresponsible bad boy types start realizing mature and serious guys make much better fathers. 30s is the time we start putting more weight on spouses as fathers on top of being husbands.

Yep. Her biological clock is ticking. If she wants two kids, makes sense to settle down around now, marry in a couple of years, and then start trying to get pregnant.

Nope, screaming. "Domestic goddess"? She is courting you as the future father of her children.

Perhaps what you bring to the table, the younger guys who only wanted her for sex (and vice versa) did not have. The quick switch from always dating one type of guy to a totally new type of guy in a month is particular to your girlfriend. I don't think it's cultural or age related. It's a her thing.

As to the jealousy...in my experience, that's what someone who is insecure or has been cheated on would do. If both people are secure in a relationship, there's no need for jealousy. My BF thinks some degree of jealousy is good. I'm not a fan personally. I want him to make me feel secure and I'm never going to do things to make him feel insecure. Yet, it still happens b/c there are feelings involved.

Good points! I can see how I'm different...and I do bring a lot of things to the table that other lovers didn't. While she tells me she wasn't a "victim" and these other guys were "just sex", and she was fully aware of the deal and in control of things...when she's told me how she'd get together with one of these boys, there was no "date"; no real conversation; frigg, she wouldn't even let them spend the night and sleep with her! There was just small talk, texting, sex for hours, and they'd get dressed and she would show him the door, or he'd say, "I gotta run" and that was that, until next time. She giggles that I'm so boggled by how these boys acted with her, and treated her. She gets a bit defensive when I say that, reminding me how she was in control of everything, and they didn't "do" anything to her and so on. I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around it though. It makes me wonder what planet these guys are from, you know? When I was in the Marine Corps, I had many girlfriends, as did my buddies. Many girls. However, even when we were with a young woman that we knew marriage was unlikely...or even desired as a shared goal, damn, we still talked, took them out on dates, and treated them like ladies.

My girlfriend saw some pics of me in the Marine Corps...she giggled and blushed, and she told me,

"Damn, boy, you were smoking hot! You're handsome now, too, but...wow! I can see why you were so popular with the women!"

Women frequently flirt with me now, if not as much or as boldly as when I was younger. I tell her, really, no worries. I'm happy with you, and I'm not interested in pursuing other women at all. I told her I love her. She says she gives me everything; she cooks for me, does laundry, cleans, she has sex with me nearly every day, and often several times in a day, she's faithful and devoted to me. I tell her she's gorgeous, I'm happy with her, and she has no worries what so ever.

"Screaming", heh? Lol. You're right on, I'm sure. Sometimes it's easy to forget how powerful such primal drives can be. As to her being a "domestic goddess", well, just my playful description of her. the woman used to go out several times a week with her girlfriends, between entertaining her lovers. Now, she only goes out once in awhile with her girlfriends, and she's exclusive to me and faithful;
She does our laundry together every week; she cooks fine Mexican food for me every night, and breakfast and lunch when time allows; she texts me and calls me throughout the day; she always makes plans with me, and makes me her priority and focus of attention; when I get home from work, she runs a hot shower for me, and gets me a cold drink before dinner is ready at the table; she's crazy hot for me, and we have sex nearly every day, as well as spontaneous attention in the middle of the night, early in the morning, whenever.

Honestly, the woman keeps me happy and blissful day and night. If I wanted to juggle another woman...lol...I have zero energy for it. My girlfriend is on it, hot. I have my hands full with her for damn sure! Lol. The little Latina just keeps me worn out. She's only 5 ft tall, but she has energy for days. I wonder how the frigg I keep up with her!

My girlfriend also likes me to pray over our food and go to church with her. I haven't been to church in 7 years! Lol. I tell her I'm a beast, and full of sin and wickedness.

She really makes being her man joyful, and happy. It's amazing. My single buddies are jealous! Lol.

She is done having wild crazy sex with all those boys (ie being a slut) and she is ready to settle down with your old ass.

You being willing to accept her after she fucked all those other guys makes you her perfect little stability beta.

I have always been into older men. My husband is just short of 15 years older than me (I am 28) and I love him dearly. He provides stability, reliability, honesty, has a great career and we have awesome sex. There's more to it, obviously, but some women are just attracted to the overall emotional and financial security an older man can offer.

Lol! So, if a woman is not a virgin, she's a slut? That seems to be what you're implying. How many 30+ year old women are virgins? Even if you-or I-could find a 18 or 20 year old virgin...what's so special about that? At such an age, she has what in common with a man 20 years older? Though I'm 12 years older than my girlfriend, we do have much in common. A girl barely into adulthood? Not much, I imagine.

Besides...my first wife of 20 years was a virgin when I got her. Still got a divorce, so the virgin thing...seems entirely unrealistic if you want a relationship with an adult woman over 25. I also have a friend who married his virgin wife...and 23 years later and two kids, she divorced him. Virgins don't seem to be a recipe for a happy, successful relationship as a guarantee.

I don't expect an adult woman over 25 to be a virgin, or have little experience. If you do, well, good luck with that.

As far as me being her "perfect little stability beta" ? How does me not wanting a virgin or a woman *under* 25 or so make me "beta"?

I don't mind a woman younger than me, but 28 or 30 seems the lower cutoff to have a relationship with a woman that can relate to you, you know?

While that person was being an ass, there might actually be a point buried somewhere in there (even if it doesn't apply to you). Many girls have lots of partners with whom they have done anything and everything. Then they get with you (generic you, not YOU) and they just want to have basic sex because they "love" you and all those other things they did were "just experimentation with guys that didn't mean anything." A normal person would see through that line. The idiot males don't realize she just said she did all the exciting things for EVERY GUY but you and has no plans on doing stuff with you.

I thought the same thing, but I really hope OP and his girlfriend are real. OP, you actually sound quite charming. Your smoking and excessive drinking/ swearing would be deal-breakers for me, but to each her own!

Good luck with this. I hope it works out for you both.

I'm guessing she's crazy. Give it a few more months (3) it'll come out soon enough.

She doesn't find you objectively attractive. If she's significantly younger and hotter than you, she's either after money or dominating you. Truth.

Or, she's crazy. She sounds smothering to me. As if she had some bad relationships and now you are her Madonna.

My bet is on crazy. Post back in 1-3 years.
