Do your kids wear undies under their jammies?

Nope. Nighttime is for airing out.

Because the sweat all day, or are bad a wiping.. And also promotes a sweaty damp environment ripe for growing bacteria.

So it is gross to sleep in underwear, not to mention unhealthy.

So you put their dirty bare asses in a clean pair of pjs or on clean sheets? Wouldn't a bath and a clean pair of underwear be more sanitary?

Yes, because he wants to. I don't care either way.

We all wash before bed.
DH wear pyjamas only, the rest of us wear pyjamas wih underwear.

My son does because he wants to. It is somewhat annoying for me to have to wash 2 pairs of underwear per day for him (the daytime ones, and then post-bath, the nighttime ones), but not the end of the world.

Exactly.

It's weird to wear underwear with your pjs.

Uhhhhhhhhh what. No. It is not. Its weird to not wear them. These kids are going to be those weirdos at a sleep over that don't have underwear on at night...just keep that in mind.

My dd has been going to sleepovers since she four. Nobody thinks she is weird. Just like how she doesn't wear the nightgown that is fitting like a shirt on sleepovers, she doesn't go commando at sleepovers either.

Bath and clean undies every night. No PJs though. My DH and kids are all hot blooded. I wear 2-3 layers plus clean undies.

I grew up not wearing undies under my PJs, though I'm not sure why that was something my mom taught me. When I got into high school, I started wearing them but still sometimes go without. I hadn't thought about preventing UTIs -- that's a good idea. My DS is still in diapers, so we haven't approached this yet.

I will admit, though, that it was always awkward at sleepovers because I was used to going without undies and had to remember to wear them (which felt strange).

I honestly had no idea until clicking on this thread that people cared a whit about this subject, one way or the other.

Underwear. Always.

No, they don't. Everybody should let their junk breathe.

They shower in the morning and when they get home because they play sports. Are you asking if they shower a 3rd time before they go to bed, the answer is no.

I also do not require my kids to go to the bathroom at certain times of the day, though I am fascinated that people do that.

Also, I would think a hot wet body that puts underwear on for 8-10 hours would be a nice place to grow yeast.
