Are you slow or just willfully dense? OP is basically intimating with his/her title that people claim DC is great but hey! look! You can get beaten on a trail! Well the police have noted every other day reoccurring incidents on that trail. I don't think the local W&O trail has that issue so there is some type of problem in DC. |

So is it your assertion, as it obviously is OP's, that there is some connection between a problem with crime on one particular trail and the "walkability" of the entire city? Please explain how the two things are related. This idiotic logic - conflating one incident or one area with the relative safety of an ENTIRE city - is what I have a problem with. It's just good-old fashioned stupidity and I don't like stupid. |

The Capital Crescent Trail, which runs through Bethesda and ends in Georgetown has crime too. Crime is every where in any city.
When I lived in a rural town, I had people throwing beer bottles at me while I biked. They were just as bad as the city kids, IMHO. People are just assholes who want to hurt you. |
