| 30 lbs...weighed in 167 at beginning of feb and now 137 lbs as of June 17(today)....what worked for me was eating lots n lots n lots n lots of fruits n veggies....lots of lean protein....staying away from sugar n white flour..I used to workout but now i have really upped my intensity and make sure I burn 600 cals min during my cardio routine as per my HRM ...the cals displayed on the cardio machines are way off for me except the stairmaster.....I do allow myself cheat days ( but no more than 2000 calories) every 10 days...the funny part is i dont even feel like cheating anymore.... |
| I went form a size 8 to a size 2 since January. I work out 5 days a week and my meals all come from a website called skinny taste. My family loves the food too. Good luck! |
| It was the silver lining to my PPD! |
| Took me 20 weeks to lose 19 pounds. Basically dropped bread (was already not drinking anything but water and black coffee, and not a dessert person) and ramped up the exercise. |
| OP here - thanks so much for the inspiration! Im 5'7' and weigh 165. I've been trying workin out, but have had a hard time stickin with a diet. Signed up for WW today with the hubby. Feeling really good about this. |
| Good for you. The skinny taste website uses ww points. |
| lost 33 lbs since mid December. Exercised 3-4 times per week. Tracking food on myfitnesspal.com. Went from size 14/16 pants to size 8. |

I lost almost 30lbs over 18 months (5'9" 175 down to 147) doing a zillion things. The only consistent thing was exercise that has really ramped up in the last 3 months.
I also lost 10 of those lbs with WW as well. I'm starting back on WW today to get down to 140. However, WW does NOT give me enough to eat, so I just use it as a baseline. I run approx 25mi a week, and will blow through my points and still lose weight. |
| Eating everything but in restricted portions. WW. |
| Yes lost 30 via WW for the most part but also by cutting out fatty foods, sugar ( not just added but also in processed foods), added more fruit to satiate hunger and exercising. I also did a protein shake in the morning as breakfast. It took 2 years but it's stuck...no fluctuations. I also weigh myself regularly. |
You need to see a doctor, clearly you have a problem. |
|
Atkins.
I lost 22 pounds. It took about 4 months. After I stopped Atkins, I kept 18 of it off. |
word. |
Excellent, OP! Most important thing is to make working out and eating right a habit. Don't necessarily try to change your life completely overnight if you can't keep it up but do make a couple of changes that you keep in your lifestyle. Go for it! |
OP, I am the exact height and weight as you, and you have inspired me to give this a real effort too. Thank you! Let us know how it is going, and I will let you know where I am too.
