If you lost 20-30 lbs?

How did you do it? How long did it take you?

Change of diet - stopped eating cheese and butter and desserts. Consciously tried not to overeat. More careful about ordering at restaurants.

Had been working out regularly but upped the intensity.

Oh and what helps is when dh goes out of town. He cooks for us and tends to make higher fat foods and lots of it. When family is not around I eat a lot less. Also I always pack lunch and make a point of adding fruit and veg.

Over 2 or 3 years I've lost close to 20 pounds. But it's all from lifestyle change. I'm not going back to lots of cheese and butter and dessert.

There are dozens of threads on this topic. Have you done a search on this forum?

There are dozens of threads on EVERY topic. Maybe the OP is looking for actual conversation, where she can react to what was posted (with an actual probability of the same person responding back).

I have lost 20 lbs over the last 10 weeks with Weight Watchers. I highly recommend it.

I have lost 40 lbs since February using LoseIt and improving my eating/ exercise habits. I think its nice since its free and really makes me accountable for how I eat. I am smaller now than ever ( size 0 is too big).

Angry much? My point is there's a lot of good information out there already that the OP may find helpful. Take a chill pill, pp.

35 lbs, WW, longer than I'd like but have kept steady even during rough patches ... so I guess it's pretty gone

15:09 -- I do think WW doesn't encourage enough activity, so I'd up workouts far beyond what they recommend

eat less. eat better (more fruits, veggies, less carbs, less processed). exercise more.

I lost 20lbs on WW. Started mid-March. Hoping to lose another 10 this summer.

It depends so much on how overweight you are. You can lose 20-30 pounds in 2 months if you're very overweight. Are you only about 20-30 pounds overweight? In which case, maybe it might take 6 months. As to how, I think anyone who has lost weight and maintained will say it's a matter of better food, smaller portions, and more exercise.

It depends. I am PP 15:01 and I was 5'7" and 170. I've lost 20 lbs in 2.5 mos through WW. However, I definitely agree that, no matter which approach you take, losing weight is ultimately a matter of better food, smaller portions, and more exercise.

30 lbs in 5 months by going primal/paleo. Also much healthier and I am smaller than I've ever been at this weight before, with yummy muscles and a shit ton of endurance. And not hungry.
