If you saw me at the pool, what would you say behind my back?

OP, can you use depilatory, like Nair or something like that? You didn't mention that in your first post. Would that give you a rash?

As to what I'd say, honestly I'd think to myself, "Whoa, she's hairy." And then I'd just move on and enjoy my swim.

Yup, tried that and it burns like hell!!!! One brand even peeled off some of my skin after only 2 minutes on and the hair never fell off

Wait...okay, so this is not a matter of not being able to reach or see your legs. The hair literally will not be removed? I had no idea that could happen -- you poor thing!

If that is the case, then you just rock it out! We compromise a lot while we are pregnant and our bodies do a lot of crazy things!

Yea, I'm sorta confused by OP's post...so this has nothing to do with being pregnant nor the inability to reach your legs with a razor/shaver, right?

So, basically the OP breaks out with a mild allergic reaction every time there is an attempt to remove hair? Are you using clean razors? Is the skin too dry prior to shaving? Have you seen a dermatologist (your OB wouldn't be the person to ask)?

Dat ass.

I'd go with swim shorts, if I were you. In fact, I sort of AM you, and I do. I can do my legs, but npt my bikini line. So I wear board shorts or a swim skirt. And you have my sympathy. No nasty judgment.

If it were today, I'd think that you were cold. Where in the hell do you live that you are thinking about going to the pool? Hell? If you vere on vacation I'd think you are a European.

Have you tried sugar based waxes? Or the electronic hair removers? I am a hairy gal who used to bleach my bikini, eyebrows, and arms ( I have hair all over my arms- upper and lower) with Jolene Bleach.

OP why are you asking your OB and not a dermatologist? Perhaps it is hormones but there are topicals you can use to help clear it up in the interim. I had a huge ingrown hair problem triggered after wearing medical compression hose for 2 weeks and my derm prescribed 2 topicals to put on the area daily. Please go see a derm - even if they can't start you on the topicals now (not sure what class they are) you will have a plan and light at the end of the tunnel once the baby is born!

You know what, OP?

I wouldn't think that you had a condition that made it so you couldn't shave, honestly.

But I would think: there is a woman who DOESNT GIVE A F*CK in the BEST way. I wish I had the courage.

Ya'll, this happened AFTER the pregnancy/birth of OPs first. She is now pregnant with her second. It is not a matter of her not being able to reach due to her belly.

OP, I would probably just think you're a granola type and go on my merry way - honestly, why waste time worrying about someone else's body hair?

You're pregnant, all bets are off.
I am 5'1" and I had a 9.5lb baby with a 14" head, I looked like a beached whale for the last 3 months of my pregnancy.
I was in so much pain, I guess round ligament, or whatever, in my mind pregnant women can do whatever the hell they want. You never know what could be going on with them and what they may be going through.
Good luck with your new baby!

That you were pregnant. Period.

And I'm too busy worrying about my cellulite and batwing arms to critique you.

If it's any consolation OP, I used to not shave *on purpose*. I went about five years - no hair removal anywhere on my body. I still wore swimsuits/skirts/tank tops and got the occasional pedicure, too, and just thought "fuck them" if they care. Then I started to gain weight and get older and wrinkly and feel less confident, and decided to plug back in to mainstream culture. Oh well. My point is -- I love to see unshaven women because I think they must be so self-confident. I truly believe that shaving is one of the dumbest things and used to feel that it is just another example of how our society objectifies women in hundreds of subtle ways, yet we all buy into it. So I guess the bottom line is that if I noticed you unshaven, I would think "wow, she's hairy" and then think "that's great." I am sorry though that your skin is all wrecked! I have a skin condition that worsens during pregnancy, and yes, it is lousy.
