Third...and also Langley Park...

So where exactly in Langley Park? Do you just roll up to a convenience store and ask some random dude? I'm looking for a place where they congregate. Also, Home Depot: I've been there a lot, and never seen a bunch of day laborers milling about. Do they congregate early morning?

Which in your tiny little pinhead means that all day laborers are murderers.

You only need one, don't you?

I bet you won't open your door to strangers but you will pick up a couple of day laborers and take them to your home?

How does it work? Are they vetted in any way? Does anyone there know English?

www.casademaryland.org/. I saw the workers show the person in charge their drivers license/ID when they get there and sign in.

The person in charge speaks English. I was concern about language barrier at the very beginning. I called a day ahead to make sure the person in charge knew what I was looking to hire for and they made sure someone was available when I show up the next day. I hired them for demolition work and it didn't really need much translation so that worked out for us. If you needed more than two person, they usually pair up one that knows English and the other not quite fluent to help you out. They really do work hard. I provided them with drinks and lunch.

Oh, when they are done with the work, the center will provide you with a feedback form to rate the workers and provide your feedback.

Oh, well, as long as they showed I.D.. In high school my name was Heidi Homer and I was of legal drinking age.

OP. If you have to ask not to be lectured then you obviously know you aren't making a very smart choice. It's like I tell my children "Stop. Think. Make a good choice."
If you decide to do it anyway. Go anywhere in Riverdale where you see lots of men standing around and open your door.

You're crazy to hire a day laborer to any kind of work inside your house. Outside maybe. Not inside.

The kind of person who would take the time to find this picture and post it here is actually the kind of person I would be afraid of and avoid having in my house - not an immigrant laborer who is trying to make a living.

And to answer the question: I agree with the recommendation for Casa de Maryland.

Chances are high that whoever legit contractor you hire for kitchen/bathroom will stop by home depot/7-11 to pick up a couple of day laborers to help him out for the day/week before heading over to your house to work on your project.
