Did you read the article? The man barricaded himself in the store. Police fired multiple shots b/c he resisted and had a knife when they broke through barricade. It seems that bystanders reported he was homeless and having a mental health episode.

So what? You pull a knife on the cops, expect to get shot. We need fewer people like this in Arlington. As was the case here, you never know when the tide will turn.

Uh, ok Crazy, that is NOT the law.

Yes he's the victim. This is how this area operates now and apparently everyone accepts it.

Nobody has said that. The question is whether a man with a knife, who is alone in the back of a 7-11, should have been shot. And we don't have the answer to that, because the public still has very few facts. Why are you not smart enough to understand this?

Nobody should be at a 7-11 with a knife, period.
What is the matter with you all?

Agreed but the question is how it was handled and was it appropriate.

Threatening a law enforcement office with a dangerous weapon (knife) is almost always grounds upon which an officer’s use of force (with his weapon) is justifiable.

So many Monday morning quarterbacks. Arlington is going down hill.

This is why there are what happened to Arlington threads. Progressives need to be spending their capital (financial and human) on building institutions to humanly house the mentally ill for the safety of all.

Whether or not he should have had a knife is a different question than whether he should have been shot and killed. There is always an investigation when an officer uses a weapons. It's required. There's a reason for that.

He was barricaded in a 7-11 because he just previously attempted to kill an unarmed woman with a knife. So yes, the police were being cautious since he had previously just displayed murderous intent

He was barricaded because he was having a mental health crisis. Everybody was out safely. The question was, was this situation handled appropriately? Could there have been a better outcome for everyone, including the officers? I doubt they really wanted to shoot this guy going into the situation. So how did it escalate and could anything have been done differently? Maybe so, maybe not. But I don't understand people who don't want answers to these questions.

So Parisa is a little lenient; so what? Just because she let some rapists off the hook to commit more rapes & murders doesn’t mean she is not doing her job.

So it worked out in the end?

Ok, as soon as conservatives personally pay for all our wars.
