Paradise Season 2 on Hulu

But a big one is, if the rest of the world is liveable, why don’t they come out of the dome?

You have to suspend a lot of disbelief for this show to be fun for sure!

They don’t come out because they’ve been told there were no survivors and it’s unlivable. That was the whole “they’re lying to you” message in the sky. But also, wouldn’t you rather live in the dome than the hellscape up above? 😄

What was the point of all of the other countries launching nukes, other than to have the US launch the EMP, just as a plot devise so that the apocalypse is even more apocalyptic?

Why would X leave his kids to go on a blind suicide flight across the country? Oh sure, he loves his wife, but he ditched his kids for a mission with no chance of success. No weather reports. Did he have fuel for a return trip? Why not bring a team? Why not try to get her on the radio first?

X said that they had 250 guests at their wedding, but no one came to visit either of them in the hospital?

Why didn't Billy say, "goes a little something like this, come on!" right before shooting the professor?

When did Annie know she was going to die? And how?

The librarian did it was not the greatest end to the first season, hopefully they do better this time.

If Sinatra is going to go back in time, can she talk to the casting director about the selections for Robinson and Driscoll?

The other countries nukes were negated/nullified when Cal launched the EMP. So there was no actual nuclear explosion anywhere.

PP again. Actually, I was wrong - there apparently were some nuclear explosions. Which I can’t quite understand because wouldn’t the air be toxic?

This is a good summary of the episode in season 1 when we see what actually happened that day. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire episode!

Along with lots of candles apparently the Graceland gift shop also had years worth of canned beans? I did really love Woolley’s portrayal of Annie. Some one asked how she knew she was going to die. Having preeclampsia with no medical treatment is rough and she knew she had that — that’s probably why she decided to try to go to Colorado even very pregnant (which is itself a crazy idea). She knew her baby would die alone. And once the blood starts gushing with the placenta, you are done for without a transfusion.

Also, as soon as they had sex, I was like, girl this is the worst idea, you’re totally going to get pregnant in a post apocalyptic nightmare and will have to deliver with no medical assistance or medicine and you and your baby will probably both die. If there was ever a time for “everything but” sex, that was it.

One thing I didn’t get about linc — what were those red marks on his body? Nuclear burns? So he’s going to die of radiation exposure?

Someone asked why they are staying in the dome. I think most people don’t know it’s relatively safe to come out. But Sinatra knows something about the heat wave that is to come in a couple of years — the scientist talled about this, although it didn’t make a lot of sense to me. So I think she knows they have to stay in the dome until they find a solution for that. I think that involves whatever technology she took from Linc and his partner, but the tech is apparently super dangerous and wasn’t ready for use yet — that’s why Linc is trying to get to Colorado to prevent her from using it.

Where does the dome get its electricity? They seem to have an unlimited supply of that and food and I can't figure out how that could be.

Right? And where does their poop go? They don't explain this stuff.

I mean they did, but maybe not incredibly well or in depth. They spent a lot of time talking about how it was all made possible by Sinatra's money and that one guy who built it. It is explained by a large hand wave over "endless amounts of money and all the best scientists and engineers"

I think it is more about the nice, controlled environment for the billionaires. Why open themselves up to risk when you are living in "paradise".

In previews, we hear her saying, "It was never about the dome." Hmm. That's cryptic.

Nothing at all about Sinatra's side project, but still, one of the better episodes. In hindsight I should have seen that Gary twist coming, but it got me. Lots of open plot strings to tie up with only three episodes left.

Gary makes my skin crawl. Can you imagine being in a bunker with him and that whisper lisp?

So, where's Teri? Does X find her in time to get back to Colorado before Linc's group breaches the bunker?

Same! He just seemed ND awkward, but no, he’s actually got SK energy. I rewound three times on that scene. Are there really only three episodes left? I don’t think we will have enough answers. Maybe Xavier gets Terri, the baby, and I hope Bean back to the bunker but we’re left with them not receiving a warm welcome?

+1 to why they aren’t leaving. There climate is going to reverse from cold to very hot and that is predicted to kill most of the surviving population.
