Paradise Season 2 on Hulu

Anyone watching? I’m really enjoying the new characters!

Have been busting to see a post about this.
I binged season one and watching one episode at a time is really hard! Where do you think Terri is? I don’t feel like she’s dead, he said she was taken.

Was surprised to see Cal again. Still loathe Sinatra and her dry skin. Jane is so obvious, can understand how she’s not been caught. What’s going to happen with Xavier’s kids now that Robinson is gone?

Part of it feels really cheesy. I’m going to be honest. Season one was better. But I like seeing what’s been going on outside the bunker. I kind of wish the whole season was like that instead of toggling back and forth.

Annie….that was done so beautifully. Hard to watch though.

I wish I had a pithy insight or question to share. The show is so good.

The first two eps feel more like This is Us, in a good way.

I read the recaps just to make sure I’m getting the dots connected! Like Link being the student spared. Didn’t catch that. Wish Annie had made it.

I’m enjoying it overall, but the whole nuclear war/EMP storyline didn’t work for me.

I want to like that show but gave up on season 1 and now giving up on season 2. I LOVED the first episode at Graceland. It was such an interesting idea for a setting, and Woodley is just always so compelling. The rest of the story to me is not that interesting. Over Sinatra, over the quest to find the wife...

I am still wondering how many candles were in that gift shop.

Very much so! I always feel like, ok - I know this is somewhat cheesy and I'm not going to be sucked in. But dammit, I always get teary at these back stories!! Just like on This is Us. They always have such a satisfying way of connecting the present day to the experiences in the past. I'm not articulating it well.

Why is Xavier dreaming about Link? And Link about Xavier? What's the connection I wonder.

I was sad to see Shailene Woodley die. She's a really believable actress.

So how is Xavier feeding the baby? No mention was made of this crucial issue.

Outside of the bunker is reminding me of The Walking Dead minus the zombies. Same kind of feel.

I also think Teri has been taken somewhere and is not dead. Xavier will save the day, with a newborn strapped to him. I like Sterling Brown, but get annoyed when they give him these long monologues. He did that in This is Us too, and it got old.

The family that was with Xavier and Annie when the baby was born gave him a load of supplies. saw sleeves of diapers and what looked like RTF’s. They had goats too, so maybe some milk initially. That was bothering me too!!

I enjoy the show. I wish that they had structured this season differently as I don’t love going back and forth to the bunker. Annie’s story was devastating. I’m ready for Xavier to get Terri and get back to Paradise. I feel like I’ve seen enough of the surface for now.

Agree with the reference to This is Us. Mixed in with a little bit of The Last of Us.

I keep getting stuck on stuff that doesn’t make sense, and there’s lots of it.

But a big one is, if the rest of the world is liveable, why don’t they come out of the dome?
