not to mention almost all Blue cities/states have decided to not work with ICE at all. so yeah, you have to have a organization that finds and removes people from the country. |
| Millions were deported under Obama. If you approach the process with decency then the people won't protest. |
Our long-standing need for immigration reform has much more to do with the need for easier pathways for economic migrants to work in the US legally than it does with the need for asylum protocol reform. Asylum claims have given economic migrants a pathway to enter the US but only a small percentage come with viable asylum claims. Needless to say, Biden’s let them all in policy and Trump's kick them all out policy have been embarrassing disasters and of course Congress has continued to fail to produce comprehensive immigration law reform. |
There’s so much stupid in here I have to wonder - did you come in on a short bus? Come back when you’re ready to read and educate yourself before spouting off easily disproved nonsense. |
The blue states are refusing to do ICE’s job for them, such as holding people longer than the law permits (at local taxpayer expense) so ICE can sit on their butts instead of putting in the work and getting the proper warrants. Local authorities are also refusing to play detective, such as by figuring out the legal status of every soul passed out in the drunk tank. No blue state will refuse to comply with legal papers. Since having the correct paperwork is so important to ICE, isn’t it reasonable to expect they get their own paperwork right and in their own dime? |
|
Why do they have to to roam the streets, demanding that every person they meet “show their papers”, do drive by pepper spray at people just walking to the bus stop, breaking down doors “because we feel like it”?
They don’t. They can unmask, unarmed, calmly and rationally confirm addresses and names, etc. One of the biggest problems is employers, why not go over their paperwork and shut them down until they can verify each employee. Why terrorize innocent citizens? |
this isnt true. blue states refuse to even let ICE know they have someone who has an ICE detainer and let them go free in the streets. its deliberate to never have to expel an illegal out of the country. |
I dont know who is "terrorized". Minnesota is making a mockery of the system by confronting ICE and trying to start chaos. in every other city, things are going pretty well. employers are a big problem and wont stop until owners of those companies are arrested and facing charges. |
there is a classic liberal response and why things have escalated so badly in Minnesota. Mentally, you cant make rational arguments, so the next step is to demean, scream and yell like a toddler. thats exactly what the white liberals are doing in Minnesota and why its fallen apart. in your mind, you think it helps but to rational people, its just a bunch of crazy. many of those "protesting" in minneota need therapy and I think you would fall into that category |
This is the weirdest part. If they let ICE get the criminals, then ICE could make their quotas without having to get the regular illegals. Its essentially protecting the criminal element with human shields. |
Exactly |
If they're coming to "improve their lives" through work, then by definition they aten't refugees. So which is it? And why are they bogarting the line over those who do it legally? |
Yes and Obama sequestered and deported millions before they were freed by CBP. Did Mayorkas and Biden do that? |
They're precluded by EEOC law. Why put yourself in line for a fed.gov lawsuit? |
The residents of Minneapolis and St Paul are not confronting ICE or starting chaos. They are being harassed, tear gassed, attacked by masked and unidentified ICE agents. You need to stop reading fake news. We agree on the employers. |
