The only person I know who tried this quit pretty quickly because the side effects (mostly digestive issues, but also skin sensitivity so that it feels like you have a bad sunburn) that are "worth it" if the goal is to get your body to a healthy weight for the first time in ages, are not worth it to lose 8-12 lbs. |
It actually does work. And unless you want to be on a GLP forever you will have to accept that. |

Side effects are real
I tried wegovy horrible Now on zepbound just took first dose nope going to stop not worth it. I’d rather have diabetes two genetic based old lady and manage it and keep my ten pounds. |
| Losing 25 lbs and still being considered overweight is not vanity weight loss. You should go ahead and use it. |
|
Yes. No side effects. Only did for eight weeks last May. Weight has stayed off. As noted above, I believe it somehow helped to regulate my a1c levels which had become resistant.
Love to exercise, be active. Never a big eater but the weight crept up. This worked like nothing else ( at least for me). |
Losing 25 lbs and still being considered overweight on the BMI chart is not vanity weight loss. |
I started at that same BMI and my goal was also to lose 10-15 lbs and then keep it off during perimenopause. It's been a month, I'm down 8 lbs, and I'm reducing the dosage. It's been great, and so far I have not lost strength. (I track my lifts.) The big thing for me has been that I noticed that I was very sensitive to it and did not increase the dose, because I don't want to lose more than I planned on. |
Ha Ha! Of course it does! |
Exercise stimulates natural GLP-1 secretion, but you have to do a lot of it to have a significant impact on your weight. At least 150+ minutes of aerobic exercise per week and 2 sessions of resistance training, probably more to get the types of weight reduction many people are aiming for. |
| Check out Smart BMI calculator. It takes more into account than regular BMI tracker. |
| For those of you who are having a positive experience, what provider are you using? How much does it cost? Has anyone tried the pill version yet? |
| Literally 80% are using it for vanity. |
You sound skinny fat. Try working out. |
I think if your body wants to stay 10lbs heavier than you are, then you are underweight at the -10. BMI is a dumb measurement. |
metformin works and it has no side effects for me... |
