Porsche Cayenne In Arlington - Psycho

It isn’t a neighborhood road - it is a main thoroughfare and it absolutely is psychotic to get out of your car for literally ANY reason except to offer assistance to another driver.

It certainly is a neighborhood road, as the road is line with homes on both sides! This is not like Langston blvd with stores, traffic lights, etc. Its a 30mph road and has had many speed reduction projects over the past few years including a new round about. Its insane to honk at someone for going "too slow" on this stretch of road.

My take-away is that these pathetic people cant stand being wrong and corrected by a woman.

In my instance, I waited for the other driver to go (bc he had right of way) and then waived him on, didnt even honk. He goes then pulled into a left turn lane momentarily before getting directly behind me and following me at a close distance for miles. At one point he approached my car at a traffic light (I locked the doors and ignored him bc I was a woman driving alone and hes a psycho).

OP is most likely lying wanting him to go 10 over because 30 felt too slow.

People who are saying it’s ok that this guy blocked her in and then got out of his car to confront her - let’s say that you are the slow driver and the car behind you is annoyed you’re going slow so they pull in front of you and stop so you’re blocked in, and the driver gets out to confront you.

You would not think that was scary and psychotic??? Regardless of what you were doing??

Also he could see who was driving the car - a woman alone - had it been a more intimidating person I’m not sure this older guy would have felt ok getting out of his car to confront.

That is so scary. And yes he of course saw you were a woman alone which is why he felt fine doing that. People are crazy. And honestly you could have been crazy too, he had no idea.

OP in the wrong on this one. Good that the elderly gentleman took time to provide instruction on proper behavior.

OP here - he wasn’t elderly - he was like 50/55. I am honestly in shock that people are arguing that it’s ok for someone to get out of their car - for any reason. Flick me off fine. Start going 10 mph - very dickish but ok. But block me in and get out? Insanity.

And also, a friendly honk is beep beep!! An unfriendly honk is BEEEEEP and then a few more times if you are really unfriendly.

Also when he drove away he took off flying - to the point that I wanted to be like sir there is a speed camera right ahead!!

I fail to understand how the man stopped close enough you couldn't escape. Wasn't he in front of you? That seems to read as though you were tailgating him and he stopped (otherwise you could have picked the distance between the two of you). Did he reverse? Maybe follow at a reasonable distance behind someone next time and you won't feel so "trapped." He probably was driving slower because you were tailgating so closely.

Count yourself lucky. It could have worse for you.

The speed limit is the max not the minimum

She's a drama queen, clearly.

Op, ignore the mean posters. I am not a honker but 10 mph below the speed limit (assuming that’s accurate and also that it was for a while not a slow down for cause) is annoying. And despite what pps say that’s absolutely crazy behavior from that guy.

What rule of the road says to honk at drivers not going the speed you want them to?
